I have been using Trulia to research houses for sale in my area. It is generally pretty good, but the information can be pretty outdated, so be careful if you really fall in love with a place to double-check with your agent that it's actually still available. Although the site itself is kind of meh, the trulia app is pretty awesome. It's really easy and intuitive to use (I've been using it on a tablet). You can just move around a map and homes for sale will pop up in the area, you can tap a home to see the pictures, split the screen between maps and descriptions, etc... It's really fund to use, just realize that the information may be pretty old (as in days, which in real-estate time is an eternity).

The CVS pharmacy website is a very easy and convenient way to manage your prescriptions online and order refills. If you've got one or more prescriptions that is renewed each month, this is a great site for setting up auto-refills and getting alerts sent to your phone when your Rx is ready to pick up, so you don't have to remember it each month. Just go by the pharmacy when you get your text and you should be good to go.

Just Between Friends is a collation of vendors and consignors who sell maternity and baby products at reduced prices at various events throughout the year. The Just Between Friends website allows you to keep track of the JBF events in your area, register for events, and even become a consignor yourself and sell new or gently used maternity and baby items. This is a really good resource for saving money, and even making money, on all that baby stuff that your little one needs right now but will outgrow in 2 months!

I recently moved to the Dallas area, and have no idea about the service providers in the area. Adpages is a local advertising magazine with a website that provides coupons and such for local businesses. It is a great way to get to know the smaller businesses in the area and find competitive pricing on various home/car/personal services.

I have been using redfin.com for the last few months to research houses to purchase. This site has the most up-to-date information; it will tell you DAYS faster when a house comes on the market, and if/when one goes under contract so you don't waste time imagining life in a house that's already been sold. Like other real estate sites, it also has information about the demographics of the neighborhood, crime rates, schools, etc... I've tried the app on my Windows phone, but for me it is easier to maneuver back and forth on the full website. I would highly recommend this site to anyone on the market for a new home.
