RUN, run away from this purchase quickly. I am transitioning my kitchen to plastic free as much as possible, I bought 2 large sets ($86 worth) of silicone bags to replace plastic baggies.
These bags are VERY difficult to close to begin with. But more importantly, they do not stay closed, they immediately open in at least one spot, sometimes multiple. There is no way these bags will keep food fresh, much less prevent spills and leaks.
I contacted customer service, sent photos and stated I wanted to return the product for awe find, explaining why they are defective. First of all, be wary and KEEP EVERYTHING they want all the original packaging and packing list. As a side note, for a company that sells an eco friendly product, their packing was awful, tons of plastic bags inside of a big bubble nailer. They missed the mark on their target customer on that one.
As disappointed as was in the product, dealing with customer service to be refunded over a faulty product has been terrible. I am now on my fifth, yes FIFTH email (the only way you are given to contact customer service). In their first response, they wanted photos or product and packaging. In the second reply. They offered a 20% discount (but I would have to eat $20 return fee). 3rd reply was a 35% discount. 4th reply is a 50% discount. At least twice now I have emphatically stated I do not want a discount, the product is flawed and faulty and the only reasonable solution is a refund. The most ironic part is they think they are 1) being reasonable ffering a discount for a clearly flawed product that can't do what it is designed to do 2) feel it is fair to charge me the return shipping for the defective product and 3) ask if I will give a positive review on their website. Nope, nope and nope!
Since you can't run an ethical business that stands by its products, no need for me to wait for my review any longer. There won't be a happy customer at this point because it has been such a hassle and such a pain.
All that remains to be seen is if ai am left as an irritated former customer or an irate one.
Do yourself a favor and don't buy the cheap knock off version from this overseas company. I know I won't be making that mistake ever again.
