For two months I did NOT receive a statement for $33.90 for a charge in July 2019. Then I had a charge on September 8 for 38.00 totaling $71.90.
On September 9 out of the blue a woman from Kohls calls and said I owed $143.99 and it needs to be paid immediately. She wanted my debit card number. I hung up.
I called kohl's customer service to verify and clear it up if necessary. I was told $143.99 was the balance that included $54 in late fees. I told the woman I wanted the late fees waived because I never received a statement but I did get the deluge of Kohl's advertisements. She waived the late fees but since she waived them I had to pay a fee of $95 to clear my account.
I paid $95 using my debit card just to get rid of them. I have never heard of paying a penalty like this. (Michelle #6327 confirmation number **************).
