I booked flights for next week through lastminute.com via skyscanner and everything seemed the be straight forward. My payment was accepted and I waited for my receipts to arrive. That is when I was sent a "your booking is processing" email that said they would let me know when it had processed. 4 hours later I still had not received confirmation so called up the customer care who said I would receive it within 24 hours. It was while on this phone call that I discovered they had added insurance onto my booking without my permission. I asked them to remove it as I did not ask for nor need it. 24 hours late still no confirmation so called back and they said I would receive it within the next 2 hours. I then received an email to say my booking had been cancelled! Went back onto skyscanner and the cheapest tickets were now £50 quid more expensive that what I had originally paid and the flights with lastminute.com that I had booked are now over £100 more. When I called the team up I had a very unhelpful customer care team provider who simply told me that it wasn't lastminute's problem but one of the airlines. These flights shouldn't be made available (and according to skyscanner they are still available) if lastminute aren't able to fulfill. I am shocked by the service I received from last minute and will not be using them again.
