If you like fashion, design, shopping and minimalism I'd recommend this blog. Great content, great visuals, regularly updated, good social media links and great photos.
Sitejabber is a great site, I can praise those who I think deserve it and give honest feeback for companies I think are dishonest. It's very satisfying to share a bad experience and see that my review has helped people avoid scams. Also great to tell people about good finds.
Allan Baudoin is a bespoke made to order bootmaker for men and women. The value for a full on consultation, design right the way through to a finished pair of unique shoes is excellent. The quality is as good as it gets - welting, stitching, lasting, leathers etc are all handmade in England. Why go anywhere else?
Tip for consumers: Make an appointment because his time is in short supply.
Squarespace has saved us thousands in merchant fees (along with stripe) plus thousands in admin bills from web developers, plus months in development time. I really really wish I knew about this company before we spend so much money on rubbish sites. I cannot recommend them higher.
My only criticism is that there are a few customisable things that are tricky and not included - rolling payments, popups, affiliate coding etc, but the pros are significantly higher than any negative I could think of.
After being let down by another shoe designer, I was out of time to get a pair of shoes for my wedding. The customer service at Liam Fahy bent over backwards to make sure a pair was delivered in time for my wedding in another continent and gave me a wedding discount!
Thank you for sharing your experience, Lucy. :)
