  • The Salvation Army

Recently went to the Slavation Army to find 1980's clothes for my child's school event. (Can't believe I should have kept some of mine for a retro costume!) we found a couple items for her costume but I also found a pair of Lucky Jeans & a cute dress for myself! It happened to be Discount Monday & we got the deal of the century with every item about $7. I'm going to have to scrounge through the racks again now! That was fun! (The only annoyance is having to get the dressing room unlocked every time you want to try something on.)

Apparently Tosha from Legacy Box reads Site Jabber's reviews and reached out to me to resolve the Groupon issue. After I sent her the pictures of my "proof" she honored the original order plus threw in a bonus add on. So at this point I'm pleased with the resolution and will update the review once I see how the final Legacy Box product turns out.

I've never seen worse customer service!

I bought a Groupon for Legacy Box that "Never Expires". $129.99 for a $500 value Closet Box Media Digitizing Kit. A couple years later I went to use it and the code was not accepted online. When I called Customer Service they were supposed to look into it and respond but didn't. When I called again the agent informed me that my Groupon "expired" but I could use the value I paid $129.99 against the $500 list price. So now they wanted another $370.01 for the Groupon deal they should have honored. I sent Groupon all the communication and picture images of the "never expires" deal & Legacy Box refused to respond. I ended up just having the origional $129.99 cost credited by Groupon. Legacy Box ended up being an unethical company with the worst customer service I've experienced.

  • OfferUp

I sell on EBay and Craig's list regularly so after a friend recommended OfferUp I gave it a shot. I put up 4 different nice quality Kid's items & found OfferUp has a very simple and easy format to use. When the post is first "Offered up" you will get several people looking at it since it's at the top of the feed. One item got over 120 looks in 2 days and three different people said they wanted to buy it. Someone who could actually communicate legibly (seemed legit) set up a time to meet to purchase the following day. It's was only a $20 sale but being the responsible type I scheduled my day around the designated meeting time. I didn't hear a thing when the time came and after messaging this person though OfferUp there was no response. So in a nutshell you may get several people saying they are interested and want to make a purchase but then end up not responding. After a couple days the activity ends and you're tempted to pay the $2 to "bump up" your listing again. Honesty I think this is a scam. There's no accountability for these lame buyers so I'm done with the clientele of OfferUp & back to EBay and Craig's list.

  • Swap.com

4/20/15

The only positive thing I can say is the shipping is convienent. I sent Swap.com close to thirty child's clothing items and they only accepted four. The four they did accept were new and one still had tags. The other things sent were in good resale condition but rejected so I paid to ship them back. Since I've been participating@ Parent Connection Swap Meets regularly for the past 5 years I know what will sell and how to price it. So far they sold one pair of leggings I got $2.00 for and they put my other pair "on sale" (unbenounced to me) for $2.50 and sold them. They gave me $0 for that one as their sales price took up all the fees charged. This is a rip off racket for an average seller. Probably great for buyers as they take advantage of the sellers. Beware of the scam!
