EBay requires a sellers social security number now, or they refuse to pay the seller. EBay will hold your money until you provide a social security number. They owe me $100, and refuse to pay me.
Tip for consumers:
EBay use to be a good platform to buy and sell on, but they want to much personal information now.

If a seller does not ship an item to a seller, the seller can not rate the buyer. Plus: The buyer has to wait at least a week for Mercari customer service to issue a refund. There is no mark against the seller.
Tip for consumers:
Be careful what you buy, and ask sellers questions. If the seller does not answer it is a good indicator that won't ship the item either. It is harder to deal with sellers on Mercari than on EBay or Amazon.
