  • Keds

Keds are as good as they always have been. They hold up well and are light and comfortable. Love them. They do seem to sell out really quickly, far too early in the season.

  • South Moon Under

1/19/18

South Moon has the cutest clothing! I love the sweatshirts and shoes. The prices are expensive though for trend clothes.

  • Dockers

1/19/18

We bought Dockers for my elderly father and he loved them. My husband also wore them for a period, but the styling didn't seem to keep pace with the times so he no longer wears them, but they wear well and are affordable, solid items of clothing that have a widespread fan base. My Dads things went through many washings at his nursing home and held up.

  • Hanna Andersson

1/19/18

Hanna Andersson clothing may be outrageously priced but it NEVER wears out. The dresses, skirts, pj's, snow clothing and hats looked almost un worn, long after they had many uses and a gazillion washes. Their cotton tights were the only ones my incredibly texture fussy kid would wear without complaint. The leggins held up better than any other retailer. My daughter always descibed the snow suits as warm and light. So I would highly recommend their clothing, if you can afford the price point, and certainly if you plan on passing items down to the younger children in your family.

  • Stride Rite

1/19/18

Every child in my family was raised wearing Striderite shoes. I happily followed suit, and was equally pleased. I was actually sad when my daughter sized out of them. They always wore well.

  • Timex

1/19/18

Timex watches are great, although there has been a slight dip in quality the last decade or so. Prior to that I would get years and years out of them and the band quality is also not as good as it was. But for the price point, they are wonderful.

  • Men's Wearhouse

1/19/18

We have only shopped there once. The prices on suits were expensive for the quality of the fabrics. We also felt the sales people were like car salesmen, and would have perfered to be able to just shop, rather than have the sales person pouncing and trying to sell us items we were not interesting in looking at.

  • Victoria's Secret

I have been displeased with the panties the last 6 years. Seems like they get more and more uncomfortable with elastic waist bands that are stiff and scratchy and am bummed that there are far less 100% cotton options than there used to be. O I have been buying more panties and bras from Gap. I wish they would bring back the former v- string with super soft or encased elastic, rather than what they are currently producing that feels like a luffa more than an actual waist band. I also wish there were more 100% cotton options. Another area of displeasure is the fact that they have gotten rid of the classic VS wide sweatshirt that I adored. Had I known they were going to phase out their lounge ware I would have bough enough of those to last me a life time. All my friends say the same things about the elastic and the fact that their panties are more like the Loved Ones now and less like under ware and bras you want to wear every day.

  • Teva

1/18/18

We've only had one experience with Teva and a pair of open cut sneakers, (the kind one can wear on both land and in water) with the heavy rounded rubber bumper in front. After wearing them once on an outing the stitching frayed and looked like the stitching was furry as if it had been shredded. The thread had clearly snapped. Had it been that she dragged them against the ground, would not be every single stitch that was popped. This was after a light days activity hour and 1/2 running around grass. Clearly defective thread.

I have never seen anything like it the thread looked like tassels and like each stitch had burst. After it happened I immediately contacted the customer service department and they refused to take them back as it was 4 or 5 days past the return period (I had shopped early for the season.) I was so displeased by their response to the fraying of the stitching on very light use, that I have never bought another product from them. I avoid shopping with companies that don't stand behind their products and who have poor customer service.

A good customer service department and generous response to issues will sign me on to blind company loyalty for decades. There is obviously something very wrong when your child wears a pair of shoes for an 1.5 hours and they are completely covered in frayed stitching from normal walking and running. She wasn't scaling rocks, or dragging her feet on the pavement like a cheese grater.

I felt the company should have i immediately apologized and sent out a replacement, or a merchandise credit and been talking to the factory regarding the quality of the tread. Stitching on good quality shoes upper line shoes does not wear out that way. I think it was due to thread irregularity and that possibly the thread they were sewn with was old or had weaknesses built in.

So they lost me as a customer forever. Completely turned off. I am a shoe junkie, so they likely would have received a $500 to $1,500 in business per year in shoes for our family had they won my customer loyalty.

After the fraying issue I noticed that they made my child's feet smell and the odor was very chemical based that is the only pair of shoes I have ever noted an odor with and her feet. She can wear a pair of shoes for a year and nothing, smell as good as they did the day she took them out of the box.

So my opinion of the company is very poor quality cheap shoes, with over inflated pricing and irresponsible customer service. Definitely do not stand behind their products. The chemical reek to them made me wonder what they were using for rubber and how save that substance was, if it was off gassing such a chemical filled smell like that. I should have made a Better Business Bureau complain, as the shoes were worthless and after 2 wears I pitched them in the trash.

Tip for consumers:
I would never buy anything from them again after such a irresponsible customer service response. It was shamefully irresponsible. They had to know that when every single stitch on a pair of shoes pops open and explodes into tiny frizzy tassels there likely is a thread irregularity. The didn't care that I was left with an unusable pair of shoe, They had my money and that was that.

Adore this store, but the online experience is a drag as one can't use Merchandise Credit. It's yet another vendor where everything in a larger size is predictably sold out, yet they have a million size 00 and 1's in stock, and where colors like white, black, grey, navy, maroon, forest green are always sold out, but they have plenty of the hot pink, acid green, yellow, pale pink and blaring turquoise. Perhaps, the buyers should note what's selling out immediately and what's landing in the sale section, and the sizes they never seem to have in stock a minute after they hit the store or website.

I adore shopping at Target when visiting their stores. But my online experience is almost always, not great. Things load slowly, everything is sold out, or only available in store. I wish they would get the "only available in store" and "no longer available" items off the website, or give them their own section on the site, as they're a distraction and make slogging through a shopping experience frustrating. The site also seem to always have hiccups, password difficulty and crashed at least once when I am shopping. So I would give my in store experiences an A+ and my online experiences a D. I dread going over to the website to order things. Sometimes orders have not been screened well before shipping them out and the clothing items smell like they have been worn. The bathing suit collection is often too trashy, wish they would work on that. But the clothing from other departments and selection is great. I love the accessories department, particularly the jewelry and handbags.

  • Amazon

We often order via Amazon, it's quick, easy and they always have anything we want. S We recently started streaming some of their web series like Catastrophe and I Love $#*!. I can't wait for their new seasons to start. Both are thoroughly entertaining and hilarious, and beat with HBO and Showtime have been showing as of late, other than Game of Thrones, Big Little Lies and The Night Of. The movies choices are also great. So I've been quite pleased with Amazon.

Deplorable customer service! I have had a issue for nearly two weeks, yet to hear back from one of their a CS reps. Instead they keep sending canned email responses to rate their customer service. So frustrating, I want to throw up my hands.

Walk on by just horrible I sent in a *brand new un worn* pair of $48 Black Kamik boots straight from Zappos in box (that we forgot to return, same ones being sold at Zappos but mine were a sold out color) and a *never worn* still being sold on line by Vans in the same colorway pair of $45 dollar sneakers, a vintage collectable 70's Laura Ashley (Wales) blouse that I'd miscalculated the UK size conversion. So was buying ahead for my daughter but a bit too small, so she worn it once for an hour ( mind you big bidding war on Ebay to get it) and 20 people watching the item. I stupidly made the mistake of not choosing Thredup's return option. They did not accept the blouse (not sure why as it was w/o any flaws and it had sold for double it's list price and had they checked ebay could have seen what it had just been sold for. The boots and sneakers were tried on by my daughter for 5 minutes on a rug, boxes in pristine condition. For all three items what we received was $9. Truly a rip off and pretty unconscionable, thought it sounded too good to be true, it is. I would recommend NEVER putting anything on consignment with them, ever. The only reason I chose the don't return option, was that both the boots and sneakers were brand spanking new, and the blouse is totally hot at the moment so was convinced they would take them. I thought consigning with Thredup.com would be easier than making a trip to my local consignment store. Boy was I wrong. The luxury consignment store down the street that I have a great relationship with always takes almost everything I bring in, sells 95% of what I consign at a few notches off full purchase to half price, and a few times actually about what I have paid for it if it's Boden, Tea Collection etc. So this was a shocking experience. One thing I am not quite sure about is that many of the items they have for sale sometimes look tired. And mine were brand spanking new, both the Vans and boots were still being sold by Vans and Zappos. My husband's theory is that someone at the company on the intake end, probably wanted a deal and certainly got one. My husband's quip was: "You should be shopping there, instead of consigning there."

I love Family Search and have found so many things on it. The staff are always incredibly sweet and really try to help. It's amazing that it is a free resource to us all and I will always be graretful that it exists.

I recently purchased a backpack for my daughter that is just too small and we returned it by shipping. The shipping carrier did not get it back to them w/i the shipping period ( hey had almost a week and a half to do so. More than adequate time.) It arrived one day late. So PB would only issue a merchandise credit for Pottery Barn Kids. There is nothing else I want from Potter Barn Kids as my daughter is past the relevant age, other than backpacks which are now too small. So it's a lost of almost $60 and it was not our fault it arrived late for Middle School, so it's a throw away merchandise credit for us. It was not our fault that the shipping company who had over a week and a half almost to get it to PB messed up and it arrived a day late. For a big company who claims to stand behind it's products and markets to parents to have such a hard line return policy, is disappointing. I would like to see a longer return period, and that credit could be transferred to be used at one of their other companies, rather than having a credit go to one of their company stores I want nothing from as my daughter has out grown the look of their backpacks and lunch boxes etc. I don't know of any other company that seeing that it was mailed w/i an appropriate time limit to more than safely arrive in time would not have just given us our money back, but they are real sticklers about things like that. Other companies under the circumstance would say: " You got it here, it was the shipper's fault, not yours, here, we'll fully refund your money, or give you a transferable credit to one of our other companies. But not Pottery Barn! This ticked me off so much, I probably won't purchase anything else from Potter Barn Teen etc al in the future because it left me with not a great feeling about the company. I tend to prefer companies that understand that sometimes thing don't get there even when you ship them w/i a very liberal time for them to arrive, like a week and a half. I have shopped with them for years now and never had a circumstance like this when something returned arrived a day over the return period, no fault of my own. I would expect a full refund under the circumstance, rather than the un yeilding annoying way this was handled. They are constantly sending stuff late, a little leeway on this matter would have been appreciated and kept me as a loyay customer. Had it been Land's End etc, a refund rather than a merchandise credit I can't use would have been issued immediately. So I'm done with Potty Barn and will shop else where for school gear, at places where the return polices are more liberal for parents like Land's End and Boden, JCrew. This item was sent in a perfectly reasonable amount of time to arrive on time and I felt PB should have been kinder. It's not my fault it arrived a aday later than it should have, it's the shippers fault.

I love Drugstore.com. Always pleased and like the fact that I can find things there that other stores don't carry or have stopped carrying. Speedy shipping etc. Prices are good as well.
