I purchased an early Hi Standard pistol from this auction house, when it arrived I realized the safety was missing (so far unattainable) I contacted the auction about the missing safety and was told the photos showed the safety to be missing which was true and
They would not do anything to solve the issue One would have to be intimately familiar with this pistol to notice this. The safety is an important part of any firearm and should be noted in the auction's description that it is missing. In this case the missing safety, particularly one that is so far been unattainable makes the item almost worthless. My opinion as a result of this problem is they are either dishonest or incompetent. I don't want to do business with anyone who is either and I would suggest that others should be very careful if they choose to do business with this auction house.
The good, I received my order in two days:
The bad, I received the wrong part, customer service is a joke, It is not financially worth while to return a part, even though it is not your fault you got the wrong part.
You cannot talk to a live person to resolve any issues
Lastly this is not the cheapest vendor to buy from.
Never again will I do any business with this vendor.
I was bidding in an auction on 4/28/17 I had entered a max bid of $700 and was notified by Auctionzip that I had won the bid at $450. I called Blackwood auctions today to pay and was told that someone on the floor had won the item at $450. I called Auctionzip to find out what had happened and was told the auction house had awarded the item to the floor bidder for less than my top bid and there was nothing they could or would do about it. I don't know who is at fault, but I will not do any business with either one in the future and would recommend that others be careful with online bidding through Auctionzip.
