My son recieved a $10 toy for Christmas. It did not work. So the week after Christmas I took it in to exchange it for one that worked. I was not given the receipt with the gift and the family member that gave it lived over 3 hours away. At the store they scanned the box and could clearly see it came from Target. Then I was told that without the receipt they couldn't return it because I may have gotten it on sale and was trying to get full price back. I explained over and over I wanted NO MONEY. I only wanted a functioning product. I was told NO, they couldn't do that because that is how people steal from them. I was so confused Target is selling broken products for full price. Where I come from that is stealing! They even called corporate for me and they said the same thing. I was told that it was store policy. Well, just because it is store policy that doesn't make it ethical. So in the end Target stole from a small child!
Hey Lee, we're sorry about your confusion upon sending in, and to hear your disappointment. What we accept/don't accept is based on supply and demand; if we already have X number of one item on our site, we are less likely to accept another. It can be tricky to guess what will be accepted and what won't, so we definitely suggest Return Assurance if you'd like your unaccepted items returned to you to sell elsewhere. We have no percentage we *have* to reject, though! That we can assure you of. We ask for you to sign up so we can customize your shopping experience - we have so much inventory it would be way too overwhelming to show it all at once to every single person. You can unsubscribe at any time!
