About Me

I'm a bull$#*! detector. The Internet is a bit of an "open season" playground for scammers, people from other countries selling fakes and knockoffs, scamming people; it's also full of cybertrolls and socially disruptive people who destroy forums. When I detect this bull$#*!, I report it here and elsewhere.

How I Can Help

I'm an ex- website message board forum administrator, so I can detect trolls. I'm a consumer and I like to find good bargains. This does not mean I like to pay real American money for fake foreign crap. I'm a seller on many auction sites and more often than not the scam capital of the world, Nigeria, tries to scam me. Some websites are just plain full of it with no scientific data to back up their claims. And more. I detect this BS. I also review good sites.

This company changed their name from "bestcanvas" to this, "discountcanvas" I'm guessing because the bestcanvas name got called out for being a SCAM. Obviously, this was done to fool people into thinking that this company doesn't have a history of bad reviews. It's kind of silly, what are they going to do when the bad reviews start piling up for their new name? Change it again? Lol I mean look at the reviews for both names - not even one 3 star review.

Anyway, I placed an order a month ago and immediately received an order invoice confirmation stating that my order would be shipped within 5-7 business days, and a shipping confirmation email would be sent. Well, it's a month later and I never received my shipping email, no tracking, and no product either. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift and even if it is shipped tomorrow it likely won't get here by Christmas.
I called their customer service number and as it is a Sunday I got no answer. Emailed as well and am awaiting a response, if I ever get one at all. (Based on the horrible reviews I probably won't).

I can't comment on the quality of the product because I never received it.

My concern right now is how I'm going to dispute the charges with my bank. I used a debt card to pay for this transaction and it that's equivalent to using a checkbook. If anyone has any suggestions please help.

Terrible. There are a lot of very bad reviews out there for this site, but I gave it a try anyway because it was free to sign up - no big loss if it was a scam. And, for the most part, it is a scam. Out of probably 200+ surveys I've taken, I only qualified for about 3 of them, and I'm a pretty average American. Often, you will spend at least 20 minutes or more answering questions to see if you qualify for the survey in question... only to find out an hour later you're not a good match. You'll lose hours out of your day trying to qualify for these surveys, even if you lie, they'll still find a way to get all kinds of statistical data about you, your life, etc. just trying to qualify for the survey... and you get nothing out of it except for lost time. In a few months I'v made about $9.50, and I take at least an hour before bedtime trying to qualify for a survey. I haven't been able to complete a survey for money from this site in several weeks, despite that. They will get your data, they will get their survey answers - by wasting your time and telling you that you don; t qualify afterall! Sorry!

Well, when eBay first started they were 100% in my book. But not recently, i. E., the last few years... eBay has been allowing foreign counterfeit designer labels to get right through. And I've learned my lesson from buying through iOffer, which seems to be like the fake designer shopping site of the world, that counterfeit designer products are cheap, smelly, low quality, and look nothing like the photos, description, let alone the real thing. For example, this seller has been trying to sell what they are describing as an authentic COACH (rare, too) handbaghttp :// cgi. Ebay. Com/COACH-Bonnie-Jeweled-Canvas-Caryall-Tote-Purse-Bag-NEW_W0QQitemZ*******190QQcategoryZ*******QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp5197. M7QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D1%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D**************#ht_2552wt_1141
Without any photos of the exact handbag, they're using stock photos. They mentioned they "mutilated the price tag," hmm, maybe because it is not a real price tag? They also said "I am in no way affiliated with Louis Vuitton" yet they are selling a "COACH" product. Reeks of scam to me! But of course, no matter how many times I report it to eBay, eBay does nothing.
Anyway, I'm digressing. I have been a buyer and a seller on eBay since the year 2005. When I am selling, I get charged too many fees, so I make the same profit as I would at a garage sale. When I am buying, I am usually paying full retail price for used stuff! The sellers seem to *have* to jack the prices up in order to make a garage-sale profit! I've also gotten ripped off as a seller - I sold a girl some shoes which were brand new, in the box the box was packaged within a shipping box, and insured. She wanted a refund and to keep my shoes too. EBay recommended in the Resolution Center that I only refund her if she sends the shoes back to me. She refused. I did get to keep my profit, and she got to keep my shoes, plus eBay refunded her too because they found "neither party at fault." Okay eBay, if you have the cash to fork over to scammers like her, it's your loss. But what does eBay care? They make up for it bigtime in fees. And that's not to mention Paypal fees. I don't buy often on eBay but when I do I have to put extra effort into making sure I'm not getting ripped off... which is a lot lately. My advice is if you're selling take insane amounts of photos of your product, and take photos of the packaging process too. If you're a buyer ask for close up (macro) shots of some of the fine detail of the product. This is good for some designer labels that won't authenticate their products. If you get photos of a genuine product and receive a fake product, you can take close-up shots of the fake product's detail and hold it against the detailed photos of the product you thought you were getting.
In short...
Just go to the store.

Sephora is a girl's best friend. They have (almost) all of the "cult classic" favorites of cosmetics, skincare, hair care, etc. If it doesn't work out, you can send it back without having to pay return shipping, and you can keep the free samples you get with every order. You get 3 free samples with every order and if you Google for sephora online coupon codes you can find good deluxe sample codes too! Deluxe samples are samples in larger quantities that you can use for a week or more to see if you really like the product. Their site also has a place where the members review the products, and most products also have a list of ingredients on the site too. Customer service is extremely helpful and they sound like they are American customer service... not this foreign outsourced stuff!
Great products, great prices, great perks, great customer service, no hassle returns... all in all... love this site.
Only one drawback: SOMETIMES you can find a better price somewhere else.

Don't waste your time or money. The products take several weeks, sometimes months to ship, and the quality is beyond horrible. The reason why it takes so long to ship is because YEsStyle has to order the products from china wholesalers such as wholesale-dress.com - often you will see the same products that YesStyle is selling on wholesale-dress.com - except YesStyle sells these same products for 10x the price. This is how they make their profit. They don't want you to know that you can buy directly from wholesale-dress (and other sites like it). If, IF you want to buy a lot of "cute" one size fits "most" clothing, you would be better off ordering straight from the same China wholesale suppliers that YesStyle orders from (except makes 10x as much money off you since they are the middle man between you and the China wholesale products). A lot of wholesale places require you to buy a minimum quantity of items but not wholesale-dress.com. So if you're going to let yourself get ripped off in this way, at least do it for $2 per item at wholesale-dress, not $40 per item at YesStyle.

The customer service for Yesstyle is just as bad as the cust srvc from wholesale-dress, so, if you do choose to rip yourself off, go with getting ripped off by the cheaper site, not YesStyle.

Most of all though... what I hate most about all of these websites is that I am using real American money to buy Fake foreign crap. So, don't do it.

Look this is plain and simple. These asian people use this site to sell fakes and knockoff designer items. Sure, good concenpt considering real designer stuff is so expensive BUT these fake knockoff items are HORRIBLE QUALITY. They are gross. Some of the stuff has an odor, doesn't look anything like the photographs and falls apart entirely too easily. If you buy a fake from this site, you might as well be wearing a big sign on your head that says "sucker!" because anyone with half a brain would know their products are fake and poor quality.
Not to mention... this is one of several ways that China is making so much money out of us Americans while our own economy goes down the drains.

Overall this is a great place to find a preowned wedding dress. The best part about it is that unlike a lot of other ripoff preowned wedding dress websites, they do not make you pay a fee to sell your dress.
I would have given a better rating to this website if it wasn't so full of Nigerian scammers. These scammers constantly email me and several other women selling their wedding dresses asking to "pay double" and use "their own shipping company" and then send you fake paypal emails, stating you've been paid double and that all you have to do is refund them for their "shipping service" - bull - don't fall for it. It's a scam. Just Google "nigerian scammers" - these scammers are absolutely rampant on this website.
