I'm actually shocked that there are so many negative reviews! I sent in a bag of kids clothing and made $45 on it. It was MUCH easier than storing the clothing for a yard sale (which I would sell for 25 cents a piece), or trying to list it all on eBay.

I've consigned my clothing at local shops for years, and their payout is comparable.

The reason I like using thredup is because tossing my clothes into a bag and brushing my hands of it is MUCH easier than standing at a store counter while some snobby hipster sneers at all of my pre-owned clothing, then decides to take ONE item. This system saves me time AND aggravation, and it's nice to know for $10 I can have any unwanted items returned to me.

I've ordered from them also, because I live in a relatively small town and the only way I can find and afford certain brands is buying the pre-owned pieces online. The items I bought were clean and looked new (and some were).

I left a review about Yardsellr.com, which I think is an affiliated company, but this site needs some glitches to be fixed.

Just like Yardsellr, I joined because they offered me a $10 credit. After I signed up, the credit didn't appear so I had to email customer service. They gave me the credit, but now I keep getting emails from people sending me credits (which expire REALLY quickly). When I go to sign in, it takes me to a different window and doesn't show I'm even signed in OR have accepted any credit.

I would rather deal with Yardseller, at this point.

At first glance, this site seemed like a win-win experience. They gave me like ten bucks for joining, so I spent it and forgot about the site.

I was emailed a few weeks later saying someone had given me some "photons" to spend. Um, yes please! But after I logged in I realized those photons (basically cash for just their store) had already expired. Apparently, the second you get any kind of credit it immediately begins to expire.

Yes, I can appreciate that SOMETHING is better than nothing, but if you are trying to GIVE cash so people SPEND cash, don't let it expire so quickly (or at all)!

I also would like to be able to leave feedback for sellers.

Bottom line? I only use the site once or twice a year when I happen to catch an email that I have a $5-$10 credit to my account. Even then, if your credit covers your entire purchase, they take their percentage out of your own pocket (Example: I have a $6 credit and buy a $5 shirt with free shipping. Yardsellr STILL takes between $1-$2 from your credit card, not from your store credit!).

Dont even bother with the customer service. If you havent recieved your gift cards, you wont.

I bought three different gift cards back in december (one was even charged TWICE). I had to open a claim with the BBB, and they recently reached out to me about helping my local media get the story out about this company. I gladly accepted and I highly suggest you all do the same.

Contact you local newspaper and television stations about the scam, and email them some info (you can find a few news stories just by googling savemore.com). I really think at this point its the only thing that will get the ball rolling on exposing this company on a national level.
