Tokyo Joe on East 11th Street in NYC, carries some great clothing at decent prices, but their miserable staff could not be nastier and less accommodating. Whenever I have asked to look at high quality, discounted makeup consigned from a beauty editor, stored in a glass case, the sales girl behind the counter rolls her eyes, and stares me down, as if I have asked her to kiss my feet. They have been known to say mean things about customers in their native Japanese, and have been called out by patrons who actually speak the language. Most online reviews of this store are profoundly negative, for good reason. I would boycott Tokyo Joe, but as a makeup artist in search of the quality ingredients, I choose instead to go through their inventory slowly and painstakingly observing Nastysan's free floating anger with dismissive glee. TJ's employees get an F for effort, and an A for anger. Odd, because the customer is the reason they have a job.

A complete scam, especially if you are over 40. The prospects they would send me were simply dreadful. Fat, miles away, pictures with cars and motorcycles (penis extensions), men who had gone to seed way too early in life, with no writing game, just sad. I told customer service that a fixer upper is a Victorian home in foreclosure, not a potential mate. One cute guy in NYC, and of course he was most likely inundated with mail. My best match lived in Ontario. We corresponded about how much the site sucked... Got half of my $ back, after I wrote some committee a lengthy email sighting 12 reasons why I believed the site is a complete fraud. Don't do it. A waste of time and money. Depressing too.
