My daughter was a part of the dance competition team at Elite Legends of Ohio for the last two years. There were red flags from the beginning, which we mistakenly ignored. First, at the end of the 2017/2018 season, a few days prior to the last regional competition the owners approached all the parents that they did not have the money to pay the entry fees and we would not attend. To say we were disappointed and shocked is an understatement. For the good of the team, my husband and I paid the entire fee of $4300 so we could all attend. One would think that they would have learned their lesson but they did not as it happened again this year (2 days notice given) and a different person paid the bill. Between the 2017/2018 and the 2018/2019 seasons they almost doubled their fees for monthly tuition and choreography. Despite this, one owner constantly complained to the students about her inability to feed her children.

The second major reason we left was the subpar instruction and choreography. The hip hop choreographed by Kam was excellent but otherwise you got one good dance out of twenty from the other owner.

Lastly, we did not agree with the inappropriate comments made by one of the owners toward the girls. Instances of body shaming, foul language, threats if they did not perform well and private information shared with students about other students families, happened on a constant basis. My husband and I approached the owners several times to express our unhappiness with these situations (and too many issues to put in this review) and because of this we were deemed argumentative and problem clients. Obviously we do not recommend Elite Legends of Ohio and every point in this review is 100% accurate and verifiable. We take no pleasure in providing this review. We had hoped this would be the right place for our daughter but unfortunately that was not the case.
