They charged me a deposit of $22 up front before I even hired someone to pick up and deliver furniture. I never did hire someone as I decided to pick up the sofa myself and they refused to refund the $22 deposit and said I can use it for "future use". There is nothing in writing that says they will keep the deposit. I spent much time filing a complaint with my credit card company to get the $22 back. Most people don't want to spend the time to get it back and this is what Shiply is counting on. They must make a lot of money keeping the "deposit" for everyone that gives. Also they never answer their phones and they are located in the U.K., they have no offices in the U.S.

I joined and have literally right swiped hundreds of women's photos and not a single response or activity at all. I am considered a good-looking guy and middle-aged women flirt with me all the time so I know it is not my looks that is the issue.
I believe most of these profiles of great looking women on this app are bogus and just loaded on there to entice men to sign up. What a scam and a waste of money and my time. I have had much better luck with web dating sites, but not this phone app.

Avoid this company! The don't do anything after getting lots of money from the customer and when you start to call them to complain, they block your number so your calls don't even go through. They are very shady and I found out that the employees don't even use their real names... they all have aliases.
Also, on the company's website, they don't even list their physical address... who in their right mind would do business with a company that won't even disclose where they are located.

Great service for both the movies download and the DVD thru the mail. I have both and love them... the DVDs arrive so quick I don't see how they get them so quick to me. Am glad they but Blockbuster out of business... haha!

I purchased a cell phone item thinking the company is located in the U.S. The item arrived and I realized that Dealextreme is located in China (per the return address on the packaging). The item did not work and I called their toll-free number and a Chinese man answered and did not speak English. I called again and he would hang-up everytime. I finally had to resort to contacting my credit card company and was able to get the charge reversed. Would advise all to avoid dealing with this company.

What they do is have a hidden paragraph buried in the very lengthly legal terms that you agree to when you click the "I accept" button. This is the one that no one reads or it would take a whole day. What it says is that you automatically agree to renew when your subscription ends.

For instance, say you sign up for a three month membership. When the three months ends, you think your membership is over and your credit card won't be charged again, right? Wrong! Match.com rips you off by continuing to bill your credit card until you call them and complain, all because of this buried paragraph designed by their shyster lawyers.

My advice is to stay away from Match.com; there other other dating websites that don't screw you like this. Match.com has a bad reputation for ripping people off.

I bought an item through Proxid and got cheated. I purchased a supposedly "14K gold" pendant and found out it was plastic. I complained to Proxibid and they said tough luck.

I ended up returning the item to the seller(auctioneer) and then received threatening emails from Proxibid's Tom Clark stating he would "ruin my credit" even though I had already returned the item by certified mail. Mr. Clark turned this over to a collection agency to make good on his word and attempt to ruin my credit. The problem is with Proxibid is that buyers cannot rate the sellers as they can with Ebay.

The sellers can cheat buyers over repeatedly and new buyers would never know about it because of the lack of a rating system. However I found out that the sellers can rate the buyers and they can blackball buyers from buying anything at all on Proxibid. How unfair!

Found out the hard way that Proxibid always stands behind the sellers(auctioneers), no matter if they rip you off and even serve as a collection agency for corrupt sellers. They are being paid by the sellers not the buyers so they will screw the buyers for this reason. My advice would be to stick with Ebay where sellers are rated and that way if you get cheated, Ebay or Paypal steps in to help get your money back.
