If negative stars could be rated, I'd rate Cameras and Parts as low as allowed.
It has been almost a year. I've filed with the BBB and my Credit Card company. At least the credit card company credited my account the $150.00 charge. The report was that Cameras and Parts would not respond to their inquiry; so my refund was granted.
I've sent them numerous emails and have even contacted the El Paso police department regarding my experience with Cameras and Parts. The detective said that he gets lots of complaints about them and that sometimes he visits them because of so many complaints. He said that he'll do what he can do, even though it's really out of his authority.
So here I am, still camera-less. Cameras and Parts won't even return my camera unrepaired. I've pleaded with them several times, "Please just return my camera so that I can get it fixed elsewhere." Basically, they took my camera and apparently never had any intention of fixing it for return to me. I imagine my camera has been sold on eBay or Craigslist. It's gone forever.
Hey, check out Cameras and Parts on Facebook. You'll be glad you did before sending them your camera and money. Just do a Facebook search for Cameras and Parts.
I was ripped off. Hopefully, others will do more research than I did in order to avoid the same. I was deceived by the several glowing reports about how Cameras and Parts fixed and returned cameras. There are just too many bonafide reports of cameras being sent to them and gone forever. Way too many. You have to wonder about the people (or person) that wrote the glowing reports. They usually appear immediately after someone complains.
