I would've been better off having a yard sale or simply donating to needy! I sent in about 50pc - most brand new! They listed 21pc and only offered me 5% of the sale = $4.45 total?!?! Then they took $10.99 return fee for the unlisted items, which had me pay them to earn 95% off my clothes! WTHeck!?!

Hi Kelli—we're sorry to hear that you didn't earn as much as you had hoped when cleaning out with us. We know how disappointing it is when expectations aren't met, this is why we are very transparent about what types of items accept & how much sellers can make with thredUP (thredup.com/cleanout/payout-estimator). ThredUP lists, photographs, and stores items, which adds a considerable amount to our operating costs, that means lower payouts (but more convenience) for sellers. The $10.99 Return Assurance fee is deducted from seller's earnings - this is an optional add on service for customers who prefer to receive their rejected items back.
