I love Penzeys. I found them first in the Grand Central Station food hall in New York City. The woman gave me a catalogue and some samples. Wow. I work as a caterer and personal chef in New Orleans cuisine. Seasonings make all the difference. Penzeys can ship in bags, which you can then fill your own spice jars. I keep the overflow in my freezer. Their spices are fresh and the quality is always good. Penzeys also has a number of in-house blend seasonings, too. Some are okay; some we can't live without. All are worth a try.
In 15 years I've had one problem with shipping. The glass tube containing vanilla beans broke in the mail. They shipped a replacement, and a few freebies, the next day. Nice people on the phone, too.
The single caveat: Your package will arrive in about a week, not next day. They hand-fill each order and package really carefully, which takes a day or two. Again, worth it.
I highly recommend Penzeys.
