I quilt and do machine embroidery. I saw a thread guide that feeds thread from the center of the spool which means less tangles and thread breakages. It was reported to fit 99% of machines. I ordered it, well don't ya know it didn't fit mine. I contacted the manufactures and not only were they friendly, they customized the guide twice at n/c before it fit my machine! Here they were doing me a favor and would apologize about delays. There were no delays! There are also no more snarls or thread breakages!

Nancy's Notions

Nancy's Notions is a wonderful company to deal with by catalog and on the phone, but I thought I would look up the website to see how it compared. The site has a huge offering of sewing products of all kinds (not just quilting). The layout was easy to go through. My only suggestion would be that they give a better description on quantity on the initial product view. Example would be a particular type of thread. You have to go into detail to find out how much thread is offered by the piece. It would make shopping quicker and easier to list the amount on the initial description.
They do guarantee satisfaction, they KNOW sewing, are very helpful, and the turnaround time to get an order is fast, even on regular shipping. Good products, great sales and values.

Delphi Forums Home

Delphi Forums is a great place to go for a variety of interests, be it music, graphic art, poetry or the area that I participate in most is the medical support bulletin boards. A lot of good information is available. As well as chats, and the ability to connect with people that have common interests and concerns. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because some other friends have signed on, and found the bulletin boards a little difficult to navigate. I'm not particularly computer savvy, but I don't seem to have a problem. They have a free access with ads, or a nominal yearly fee, that eliminates the ads, and allows elaborate graphics, and signatures.

Keepsake Quilting

This site has a wonderful selection of kits, fabrics, and patterns for every type of quilting. I've purchased things from them, and the quality of product and customer service is awesome. Even more importantly I ran into a slight snag once with an order, and it was fixed immediately, and in a very friendly and supportive manner. This is definitely a great company/site to deal with.

The Stitchery

Of course there is the normal, name, location and phone number. However this site is a very good showcase of the business. There are pictures of the store itself, but also important to me, a number of projects that staff and customers have completed. As a relatively new customer of this business I can attest that they are truly helpful, even when you are in way over your head. So check it out, and happy sewing!
