About Me

Just looking to help out, and warn where there is potential risk online. Also, to help when I have had a positive shopping/buying experience.

But, I recently have learned that this company whacks your e-mail account to death that "the card you are looking for is now back in stock". A few times, I have gone to look, and nothing there. So, since it was maybe a few hours later, I had decided to pay more attention because I don't need four e-mails in a row telling me that the CVS cards are now back in stock!

However, recently I have been on it like white on rice. Hit those links in a New York City second, and there is NEVER ANYTHING THERE. No gift cards that I want, EVER!

So please Cardpool... if ya ain't got the goods, stop spamming me. Sometimes, they're ok... but their inventory is low. Also, you should stop listing cards you don't have. VERY annoying to keep clicking through to find your no inventory alert. Consistently.

I would go to Raise personally. None of these gift card companies are fool proof. You're always going to have issues. Always. You'll need to be a smart consumer and watch their guarantees. Or you will lose your money somewhere along the way.

My first review of this company was MUCH better. However, I now have to warn consumers to stay away. I purchased two $500.00 Lowe's gift cards from them recently. They gave me the standard "we have to do our verification process". This despite the fact that this was only the 100th or so card I have ordered from them. Whatever. Do what you have to do, except I was buying a fridge for my son's new home online, so I used cards from another company. My husband owns a business... I figured I would give the cards to him when they finally got done with their so-called "verifying".

Anyway, finally they decided I was worthy of the cards and sent them to me. As I said, by this time, I had ordered them elsewhere with another company.

Nevertheless, I didn't need them right away now. So, about ten or so days later when we did go to use them, there is no balance. Gone. Nothing. I lie... 63 cents on one card.

Not happy, I mean this was $930 of my hard earned cash they had. I e-mailed them. One of their "Heroes of Happiness" responds by telling me they will have it squared away in 24-48 hours. Now, I don't understand this as I could call Lowe's pretty quick and find out that someone had used them on this day, online, for this much. I would imagine that they had a little more ooomph and could have expedited the whole process quicker. I let two days go by, I e-mailed again. No answer. Next day, e-mailed again, no answer. Finally, called, left two voice mails. No answer to those either. Next day, I e-mail again. Tell them if no response by next day, I will dispute charges on my credit card. NO ANSWER. I called again next day, and reiterated this. Nobody called me back.

So, I held true to my words, and disputed both transactions the following day. I don't think it's because of this, but two hours later I had two separate e-mails from these so called HOH that they had credited my account.

I have a huge problem with this lack of customer service response. This is a decent chunk of change for most of us, and I wanted to know what was going on. ALL THEY HAD TO DO was respond. Say something. Anything. "we are working on it, don't you worry". TOTALLY ignored me for days and days.

This is NOT how you deal with a loyal customer. You answer. You let them know that their money will be refunded. The irony of it all is that after all of my aggravation? They gave me my money back and had the stones to keep the 63 cents.

Seriously?
I would watch this company. For a while, they are the best thing since sliced bread, but that can change. They may be fast, but their verification process? For the birds. And when you have a problem with a higher value gift card, you best have some money stashed away to carry you over because they don't move too quickly.

They lost a good customer over this one. I won't be back.
Be careful. When they work well, they are fine. When there are problems, you may be in for a good week plus waiting for a refund. That is unacceptable to me. We were talking about almost a thousand dollars. Even IF it took them that long to figure it out, they should have had the decency to keep me in the loop somehow.

Those speaking of problems? They are spot on.
Be careful.

Let me just say this, and I am not bragging at all. Just want to make a few things clear. I have owned my own home for 14 years, and have not moved. My credit score is over 800 points. My husband has his own business. We are financially stable, bill paying citizens. I like to save money where I can though. No harm done there.

I attempted to purchase a $25 Outback Steakhouse card, more to try them out and to use up a $5 code received from Gift Card Granny. My e-mail address? Verified. My cell phone number? Also verified. My credit card? I have had for longer than I can even remember, and it is CLEARLY IN MY NAME, nobody else's.

I had to chuckle to myself when I was told that my order was cancelled since I am a FRAUD RISK. SERIOUSLY? I cannot imagine anyone on this planet being less a fraud risk than I, but I suppose it's possible. I also chuckled pretty hard when I saw that someone else had said the only company out there worse than this was Raise. Man, that's some true stuff right there.

Cardpool. They're not bad. Giftcard Zen, even better I'm not saying I haven't had an issue with a card or so from them, but man do they stand behind their product like soldiers. Any issues? Cleared in a heartbeat. However, I'd avoid these people like the plague. I'll tell you who is a fraud... SaveYa.

I have ordered 100's of gift cards online. I placed an order with this company for a measly $50.00 Cracker Barrel card. It got flagged as potential "fraud". Seriously? How many thieves are going to Cracker Barrel these days with a gift card from this place? My credit score is over 800, and fraudulent does not match my character one bit.

I e-mailed twice about the "why" of all of it, and received no valid response. In reading some other reviews? I suppose it worked out for the best... for me.
