I have had multiple home warranties and never as bad as Select. The sellers gave us, unfortunately, this warranty. It is a completely worthless home warranty. They didn't cover emergency plumbing. They said a home inspector should have taken apart our toilet to discover that it was missing a phlange. They refused to pay for water damage as well. Don't waste your time. I've filed complaints with the NJ Attorney General's Office & in the State where I live. The BBB complaint in case anyone reads, as well as the NY Jets that they've partnered with and the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs. Stay away. Run. Read other review sites. 1-star from people who have submitted claims. Good ratings are from people who most likely were given a discount.

Tip for consumers:
Read the reviews. If a home warranty has a bunch of 5 stars, see if they ever submitted a claim or say I was asked to review in exchange for a discount on service.

Products used:
Worthless home warranty. A friend on Facebook asked if she should get a home warranty. I was the only one who said NO and don't use Select Home Warranty. All the others mentioned various home warranties and were happy. Don't waste your money.

We, unfortunately, had Spectrum for 2 years when living in Angier, NC. Spectrum has a policy where AFTER you return equipment that you ALSO have to say, "Hey, cancel my reoccurring bill". This is insane. I've returned your equipment, cancel my order AND I have to say, "Don't bill me anymore." This is semantics and shady practices. How are they still in business?

Discover would not refund me based on their policy, despite that I could show that we had returned the equipment and the last charge was AFTER we left the state. I can also provide proof that they raised our rates as we had a recurring charge.

They also lied and said we'd have a lifetime rate but then raised it within the first year. They are deceptive.

They screwed up the meds for my cat and it was over a month to get it right. I always allow extra time before we run out. Had to get it from the Vet. They then offered me a discount and when I tried to use it the food was out of stock for over a month. Yeah, right. The discount expired. They lied to me over the phone of when it was supposed to come in and that they would bump up to fast shipping. Never happened. Horrible, excuse filled customer service. Not sure how they've stayed in business.
