It took 1 1/2 months to get payment from the Founders insurance company of the guy who hit us. This wasn't even big damage. The Founders agent, Fabio Jacob, kept stalling, never returning calls, making ridiculous excuses, and trying to make us go to a repair garage in a really bad part of town! He told outright lies to us and our agents repeatedly. Our agent and the agent from the main insurance company both had to keep getting on him and still it took so long to pry the payment out of this company. My agent said at the start that we'd probably have problems with Founders Insurance. How right they were! Steer away from this insurance agent. If your experience is anything remotely like ours, it leads to ongoing frustration and a lot of time wasted and phone bills run up to get anything accomplished. We have never had an experience like this! At one point, I suggested the agent pay my claim and charge his customer more for his insurance to make it up if he didn't want town up to his responsibility.

Very little communication from the company based in Oswego, IL to us. We needed half of our roof replaced due to hail damage. Took awhile to get started but did a good job. Then we saw that the workers broke a part of our siding. Waited 4 months with nothing done to repair the damage and to complete the wrapping of two windows with hail damage. I finally called and told them I was done with waiting and would hire someone who would finish their job. Would not recommend them. Also, Mr. Lewis saw the $$$ estimate for the entire roof and planned on getting all that money when half actually went to our out-of-pocket expense on the back half of the roof already completed by another builder. Our insurance agent straightened him out on that after a serious phone call to the company. Would not recommend. The money issue made him untrustworthy. July 20: As an update it took 6 months to get the company to send out a person to finally repair the siding damage caused by the roofers. That took only about 1/2 hour when done by another employee. They decided not to finish the last part of repair work so I needed the loan company to talk with them to remove that job's portion of money due. Should be completed by end of week. The office person I worked with, Meg, did a great job finishing up this long-standing mess.


I contacted the BBB about this fraudulent business that everyone has been "taken" by. They informed me that BBB tried twice to contact the business and they did not return an answer either time. Shouldn't they be closed down immediately? None of us will ever see our refund for the dead delivered flowers!
