I work in a professional office building with numerous tenants. The only tenant reviews were at least 2 years old. Two current tenants wrote positive reveiws, we responded to them on yelp, then noticed a few days later, one of the current tenant review and our response was gone. When a yelp rep happened to call to get us to upgrade, i asked her why this one review was gone. She said "it's because he's not a frequent yelp reviewer" WTF? That should NOT be the basis for a removal of any company review, let alone a positive one! I could not believe this was a legit reason! Then, when I went to write my review of Yelp, I read the plethora of negative reviews, the scams, the requests of business' to upgrade to pay for "better" service, and others who had positive reviews deleted by Yelp, it suddenly made sense that a Yekp rep suddenly call to discuss upgrades! It's criminal that they do this and have this kind of control over legitimate reviews by existing customers! It's like they hold the positive reviews hostage until you pay them! Unreal! I will never rely on Yelp after reading all the others who experienced the same unjust and criminal business ethics of a company that claims that the consumer can rely on their review system! Wow! I agree, a class action lawsuit should be initiated against these crooks! I hope Yelp doesn't delete this!
