We booked a flight to Lisbon and we received a notification from the airline that our return was cancelled bc of the strike on July 17-18 2021. We contacted immediately our agent at skylux who emailed us that he was off for the week end and had no access to flight data. I will not give anyone's name unless am contacted.
We then called customer service and I insisted there was a flight leaving that day from Porto airport and that we could make it with no luggage. The female agent insisted the flight was still scheduled on her screen and did not see any cancellation. I emailed her a pic of the airline notification and insisted she looks on the official Lisbon airport website that was listing all flights status and I even sent her a pic from the screen showing the flight cancellation. She dismissed me, saying it was a technical aberration.
We still insisted bc we could have made another flight and called again customer service, dealt with another agent who said he will follow through. I insisted again about looking at the airport website and he did not believe me. He really followed through!
This morning I called again customer service, and spoke to another member of the A team who said he was the only one working and could not do anything other than contacting the previous 3 teammates
I pressed the urgency bc flights to NY were posted from Porto.
Subsequently the airline checked us automatically on a flight leaving tomorrow night, 2 days after contacting Skylux
There other luxury business agencies and I deleted skylux from my contact list
I would be happy to give the names of the 4 agents we contacted.
They are good to sell you a discounted ticket but do not stand behind an issue.
It's like everyone's doctor is the best until you have a problem, then only the real best one stands up.
