This was my first experience with running a fundraiser. CrowdRise made it so simple and fun, I can't even begin to tell you. But I shall try.

First of all, they don't take themselves too seriously. You can tell just by their tagline "If You Don't Give Back No One Will Like You." I really appreciated that, because most likely whatever you're raising money is inherently depressing (my cause was homelessness). They take the edge off by keeping you laughing with some of the best copy you'll ever read. And for me, a copywriter by trade (and quite jaded at that), to say that is a big deal.

Secondly, it was so. Friggin'. Easy to use. They say you'll have your fundraiser up and running in less than 42 seconds. Took me slightly longer than that to get all the pieces in place, but not much.

Lastly, they are personable. Anything I had a question about, they were quick to respond, and always friendly. In fact, I had asked them to place an additional information box in my donation section. They did it. Love them for that.
