Firstly, havent had any issues with Payoneer for the past 2 years. BUT all of a sudden, I've started noticing how my balance doesnt always add up. When I for instance, purchase something for $10, that's taken off my current balance and is recorded as a pre-authorised purchase on the account. When I revisit later, that pre-authorised purchase record is GONE... but balance unchanged (still $10 less). When I check again later... an additional $10 is removed from my account on the main balance - this time showing the transaction on my main Transactions History. DOUBLE charging! When I contact customer care, they tell me to contact the merchant I'd have purchased from. SURELY, THEY CANT ALL BE DOUBLE CHARGING ME! Something fishy is going on lately. The customer support is absolutely horrible. The lady kept saying "I understand"... NO YOU DONT! You're stealing money right under our noses!
Hi Jones, when you make a pre-authorized purchase, the amount for that purchase would be “freezed” in your account until it is cleared/ released by the merchant- in other words, you might see it in your account but won’t be able to use it. Only after the merchant cleared/released the funds will the funds be debited/ released to your accounts. Any pre-authorized are cleared by the merchant- i. E- Payoneer cannot charge or clear them for you.
