I just want to say that had Mediacom for 10 long years. It was overpriced and it was a goddamn nightmare every month of every year. My apartment building switched to Vast Broadband five months ago. I'm now paying $30 less a month (will pay $10 less a month after the first year), I have unlimited data instead of 250 GB a month, I am receiving 90-100 Mbps instead of 40-50 Mbps, and I have had absolutely no problems at all with my internet. It's been HEAVEN. If only I could sue Mediacom for the 10 years they took from my life. I didn't have an options because they were the only internet provider in my town. And 10 years of my life was destroyed with crap internet (internet is my life because I am disabled). I beg you. If you live in a town with options, cancel your Mediacom service and join up with a different ISP.

Oh, and since my apartment building switched ISPs, Mediacom has been harassing me with mailbox advertisements every single week of every single month. I received around 20 of them so far. I contacted them and begged them to stop doing it and explained that it is impossible for any resident in my building to get Mediacom internet even if we wanted to, because we can only have one ISP. Their response was to tell me that the best they can do is put me on the opt out list. But get this, they would continue sending mailbox ads for an additional 90 more days (and they did ended up sending me more ads every week for those 90 days). And after a year, they will put me back on the mailing list even though they don't have my consent and I explicitly told them that I don't want to get any more ads.

Lisa Preston is a "Total Care Specialist" for Mediacom and she should be fired for her attitude, unwillingness to help, and for reading and deleting my emails without replying to them. I asked her half a dozen times if I understood correctly that there was no data cap for the first months that we had COVID, and instead of answering "yes that's right" she kept giving me legal speak and told me to refer to the website page that I was asking for some clarification on. When I tried to go above her and get help from someone else in the company, I ended up transferred to her anyway and then she just read and deleted my email without replying to it. When I asked to be removed from the mailing list and explained that no one in my building can get Mediacom internet even if their life depended on it, she just argued with me and told me that we are going to get mailbox ads whether we want them or not because we are in their service area (but we can't be serviced by them!). And when I threatened legal action against them if they continued sending me mailbox ads (it had been 4 months and I was tired of them), she once again deleted my emails without replying to them.

I ordered 8 packs of socks, only for 5 of the packs to be cancelled. And then 2 days after my order was cancelled, Khol's restocked the socks and reduced the price by a few dollars. But that's fine. I only wanted 4 packs of socks to begin with. But it would have been nice if I got the 4 packs that I wanted instead of just 3 packs. The quality of the socks that I bought was far inferior to the all-white, non-reinforced Khol's Tek Crew Socks that I have been using for the last 8 years. These reinforced ones look like they will disintegrate easily after several washes. The tube part covering the leg is cheap material and almost see through. And the material covering the foot looks like it would easily develop holes after a few uses. It's been 47 days since I purchased these socks and I still have an overcharge of $11.25 on my credit card. I've contacted Khol's and my credit card company a dozen times and even filled out a dispute form. But the overcharge is still there. And finally, the "Unsubscribe" link in the promotional emails doesn't work. I clicked it dozens of times in the first 40 days and still received promotional emails. I found that you can go to your Khol's account settings and unsubscribe that way, but most people would use the email unsubscribe link and wonder why it doesn't work. This shopping experience with Khol's has been so frustrating and my only reward is cheaply made socks that don't have nearly the same quality as my all-white, non-reinforced Khol's Tek Crew Socks that I have been using for the last 8 years, an $11.25 overcharge that won't go away, and only 3 packs of socks when I wanted 4 packs. Oh, and Khol's deleted my review seven times so far. I'm keeping count. They should apply less effort trying to delete my reviews and more effort actually caring about making their customers happy. PS - I've been wearing Tek Gear Crew Socks ever since 2005 and always loved them and Khol's, but after this HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE my opinion of Khol's has changed a lot which is why I am going to keep posting this bad review until they go out of their way to make sure that I am fully satisfied. And by the looks of things, they won't ever make that effort because that is how little they care about their customers.
