I bought a ticket online today, Booking # *******. I thought I had also bought a Preferred Baggage Serviice at the same time. I just got an email stating that the Preferred Baggage service portion of my ticket had been refused by VISA. I went to My Bookings and tried to buy a Preferred Baggage Service again but I don't know whether I have succeeded. I wanted one Preferred Baggage Servive for my outgoing flight and one for my return flight. Did I succeed in doing this? I cannot understand the web page. Please let me know what my status is. Thanks John Montpetit

Have I paid for Preferred baggage service or not?

The signs are in view everywhere offering points galore or discounts usually up to 10% but the story soon changes once you get to the cash and have paid for you purchases. This has consistently happened to me. I chose my new iPad Pro and proceeded to the cash register only to find that my iPad Pro and all other high end Apple products were not eligible for for points! I asked why but was told that Apple products are simply not eligible for points at Yodobashi Camera. On October 6th of this year (2021) I bought a Thermarest sleeping pad and Solomon walking shoes. The sports department had signs everywhere promoting a 10% sale. I took my goods to the cash and paid for them and looked at the receipt … where was the 10% discount! I asked the cashier and was told that Thermarest purchases were no eligible for 10% discounts … they gave me a 1% discount! When I asked to have my Solomon shoes packed in a plastic bag rather than the bulky cardboard box the cashier complied but stated that my shoes were no longer eligible for the return policy! All of these exceptions were explained to me only after I had paid for my purchases, I had to refer to the caveats after the fact. This is a very bad policy. As a foreigner shopping at this store and many others in Japan you're often perceived as a customer who will most likely not be a return customer, a short term visitor to Japan, so your purchasing rights are often circumvented. Double check carefully whether you as a foreign customer are granted the same rights as Japanese customers. Let The Buyer Beware.

Tip for consumers:
Be very careful at the cash register.

Products used:
Computer and sporting goods

In the last two months I have spent more than $1000. 00 on GoPro cameras and some third party accessories. I have an issue with a GoPro subscription discount that I did not receive on one purchase. The total amounts to approximately $70.00 US. Not a great sum but it is my money, no GoPro's money. I have done everything in my power to resolve this issue but GoPro quite simply refuses to contact me in spite of my numerous attempts at contacting GoPro. The customer service is virtually nonexistent. Caveat emptor. I have learned a difficult lesson. However, I do have very powerful tool in my toolbox and that is word of mouth. I will relate my GoPro experiences wherever and whenever I can So, take heart disgruntled consumers you are not powerless there are effective measures you can take against GoPro.
