Peapod does provide decent service and are quick to respond to any complaints. The problem is their systems. A few months back they lost an entire order and I didn't find out about it till the morning it was supposed to be delivered. Even though their tech people assured me that the system problem has been fixed and the order was still scheduled for delivery.
But, the biggest frustration to date is their allegedly new and improved on-line ordering program. I can only compare it to what Ancestry.com did to their system. Three steps backwards. The site is cluttered and confusing. It requires more strokes to navigate. It has a very poor print utility. What used to print in 1 1/2 pages now takes 6 pages of paper and ink.
I make these observations from experience. My job was to train and roll-out new programs for several hundred thousand employees. The best way to sell it was to tell the employees about the improvement and benefits they would be getting at their level. I wouldn't want to try and sell this one, because there are none. This appears to be improvements strictly for Peapod, s advantage
I will give it a chance until it frustrates me to the point of closing the account
They have appeared to have gotten the bugs out of the system, but my last order was short 8 items, suddenly out-of-stock after I placed the order.
I will go back to shopping in the store for awhile.
