I ordered and recieved 2 ipads total cost £128.00 both arrived and neither worked as one was described as working and one as unchecked i took them to a computer technician who looked at one and told me it was pulled to pieces inside and only scrap value it would never work. So i returned both to the company with an accompanying letter and sent them an email as well. I have heard nothing although it has only been 2 days so probably very busy. Tried to contact them on the phone but phone always busy.
I have bought many hundreds of pounds worth of goods from them in the past and found them to be honest helpful and trustworthy.
I will keep trying to contact them and will keep you informed of what is happening.

I have used this company now for some years and although I only order cheap reading glasses from them there service is second to none. I wrote asking for a screw because I lost one from the arm of the glasses. The glasses were 8-10 month old but in the next post came a new pair of glasses with their compliments. This was totally unexpected. Good company with excellent service.

I have bought some items at action over the last 7 months and i have in my view decided to do some thing about it. The Auction Houses I bought from were all listed under the iBidder.com site.
The following will be used to apply to the County Court Money Claims Centre, claiming against the Auction Houses for miss-selling, And not adhering to the 2008 & 2015 consumer Rights Act.
THE 2008 AND 2015 CONSUMER RIGHTS ACT
It is my intension to show the court why the 14 day money back right for purchases made at public auction apply to members of the public when distance selling is involved. I am not saying that this should apply to trade customers but some thought should be given. In my opinion public are just that and should not be linked with trade, public may only buy 1 or 2 items Trade will buy multiple items, also the public will buy more on impulse.
The following is a short list of how Auction Houses dupe customers
1. When an item is sold with a picture and the name of the item only, and on receipt it is found to be faulty.
2. When an item is sold with words to the effect of tested or working or in good order, when on receipt it is found to be faulty.
3. When an item is sold with a picture and a definition that includes the Recommended Retail Price inferring that the item is new. And on receipt find the item is used and faulty.
4. When an auction sells an item without accessories and does not inform the buyer. So that on receipt it is found to be useless.
5. When an item is sold with any type of description, which on receipt the description is found to be false, and the goods found to be faulty.
IF ANYONE CAN GIVE ME A REASON WHY THESE 5 METHODS ARE GOOD SALES TECHNIQUE
PLEASE GIVE ME THAT REASON. IF YOU CANT DONT DO IT!
The above list is endless but gives a good idea of how the Auction Houses act, the dupes listed are covered in the legislation but not acted upon by the law.
Some auction houses state before the auction that all items are new unless otherwise stated, this statement is very informative and reliant and cant be misread. Also 1 auction house I deal with lists ALL items as untested or new again very informative and reliant and cant be misread. All negative descriptions ie; broken, no picture, not working, not tested, not in good order damaged, etc, etc, are all helpful to and do not mislead the buyer.
I do not wish to comment on the rights to longer than 14 day money back claims, but if the court wishes too that is for them to decide. But my claim is only for coverage of the 14 day money back rights in the above legislation.
I am not looking for financial gain by this just the statutory rights a consumer should receive under the above legislation.
I was in the yard of a leading auction house waiting for some goods when I saw a very upset lady obviously in her later years. She had purchased from a distance and not as a trade buyer what she thought was a perfectly good fridge only to find when the guys brought it out that he motor at the back was broken and was not repairable. She was very distressed when told that she had purchased it so must accept it or be charged for storage and resale. There was a happy ending to this when one of the Trade Buyers of multiple items swapped the lady a perfectly good fridge for her broken one, another guy in the yard offered to go to the ladys house and fit it and take away her old one. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED The Auction Houses have to take responsibility, this is why the Government went to so much trouble to introduce this act, but the Auction Houses are not complying and no one is policing it.
Why should auction houses be able to dupe the public into buying rubbish at high prices, if a grocer sold stale bread at inflated prices or a butcher sold gone off meat at inflated prices or indeed if a car dealership sold second hand cars at new prices there would by a public outcry, why should the Auction Houses be able to hide behind Terms and Conditions. The law covers this but it is not policed.

1. You are bidding on Direct from the UK Ministry Of Defence a Land Rover Defender 110 Soft Top. The speedometer shows 114,873km however this cannot be verified. This vehicle features a 2.5N/A diesel engine and LT77 Gearbox. It is supplied with the military release certificate.
This vehicle starts and runs however it will require either charging or replacement of the existing battery, also the clutch has seized which will require attention.

The first date into service is 26/10/1987.It is direct from the MoD and has no warranty.
We recommend you view this vehicle before you bid and that it be collected with a trailer.

Yes what a $#*! rating for a $#*! site in my opinion. Some time ago now I joined an internet auction site called i-bidder.com which is a site that lists many excellant auction sites around the country and i have used that site with no problems until recently I will review it soon. I went onto a site called bettabuy.ltd advertising and i quote " Brand New and As new Garden Power tools and household products". PLEASE NOTE THE BRAND NEW AND AS NEW. I purchased from them 21 items of which 10 would not work or were too badly damaged to sell on. The total cost to me was £156.40.

So i sent the following email.

I would like your comments on the following. All the items were bought as working as you can see from the list there were more not working than working. I think the persons who tested these items need testing themselves. I can return to you all the faulty items except two which i have sold at a loss if you require. I wasnt going to complain but as the list got longer i thought i should for both our sakes. The price i have put is the hammer price ok price £49.00 bad price £61.00. The total price is on the items i can not sell £86.62 the items i can sell on £69.58. Please advise.

Sorry but getting back this late after the auction doesnt work, as with all auctions the terms state that all goods are sold as seen and no refunds or returns are accepted, it is down to the buyer to view the goods and make a decision before purchasing.

So I returned with this and am awaiting a reply.

I totally agree with what you say but just wanted to bring to your attention the amount of goods that you say work that don't the money is of no relevance to me trust and reputation is what I want to see. I don't do this to make money i do it to relieve boredom in my retirement twilight years. You head your auction listings Brand New and As new Garden Power tools and household products, now that is an untrue statement and you can't hide behind your T's&C's with a statement like that. I agree that it has taken some time to test all these items fully but it is only 12 days since the auction and in a retail world which i know we are not this would be an accepted time. I will in the next 14 days return these items to you and you may do as you wish, but i want you to realise you need better trading practices to have a good reliable customer base. I have written a review on site-jabber if you wish to look.

So on with the review. How can a company which is an online auction site say that you must inspect the products before buying and please do not rely on us telling you the truth when the whole idea of online sites is to service an area bigger than local.

I must leave it there off for a colonoscopy wish me luck

Well the probing is over for another 3 years and i got a clean bill of health well 1 polyp removed.
So continuing the saga of the online auction company i have now put in an official complaint to trading standards via citizens advise.
Based on the following -;
Returns/cancellations and after sales policy
If for whatever reason you change your mind and would like to return your order after delivery, we're happy to refund or exchange your purchase as long as it's unopened and in its original packaging. This option is available for 14 days after purchasing.
I did this but was told i could not claim.
THIS COMPANY IS GETTING RICH SELLING UNUSABLE RUBBISH.

Well I bought a kids electric bike weight 18kg. I had to get it from Bristol to Sheffield. I looked round for a carrier but most sites didn't go over 15kg. So i went on a site called Anyvan thinking if there was a van going to Bristol they could squeeze this on and make an extra £30 to £40. I was surprised to say the least when the quotes came in at between £74 and £106 a lot more than i paid for the bike. SO this sent me off on a search to find a cheaper way and I found it a company called Senditnow.com. They pick up from your home and deliver to the buyer the next day before noon for only £16.00. They are subsidized by the Royal Mail. So the moral of this tale is if you cant get it cheap enough KEEP TRYING.

A few weeks ago i emailed the sheffield council about the condition of a hedge i am responsible for which runs down a gennel into the local park. I employ a gardener to keep the hedge tidy on both sides, this time when he came he told me that although the hedge was well overgrown into the gennel he hesitated in cutting it as it had about 50 bags of dog poo hung in it. The dog walkers picked up their dog poo and hung it in the bushes!. I told him to leave it and emailed the council. 2 or three weeks later the council arrived and cut the hedge back completely transforming the area. I wish to say to the council thanks and to the men who did the job WELL DONE.

Its not very often the council gets praised but in this case its well deserved.

I have been going to review this company for some time now. Its all about cheap food and drink its here in abundance at this site. The M D buys in overstock and near to date and over date items they are then listed on the site at approvedfood.co.uk. I have been buying from them for over year now and have had no disappointments i don't buy a lot but the savings soon add up, I reckon i have saved over £800.00. I have not had reason to complain at all. I live locally to the company so can collect my goods personally but if you live miles away the carriage charges are not great. If you feel like some good cheap food and drink give them a try.

A few weeks ago i bought 5 ip wireless webcams 4 Sricam and 1 Kkmoon, that was my first mistake buy all the same make to save time. All the cameras worked great they connected to my android phone fine no problem. The problems came finding a cam viewer for the desktop, the cameras all had disks with software. The Kkmoon was all corrupt the Sricams worked fine with 3 different viewers on each but the programs were very hard to use. I needed to view these cameras from anywhere, the easiest program i found was iSpy. During the installation Shenzhen Sricctv Technology Co. Ltd2 at web www.sricctv.com/.were useless. I had fantastic help from Port Forward Network.
DON'T THINK ITS EASY UNLESS YOU ARE A NERD.

Over 1 month ago just after renewing my contract my broadband speed started going up and down during the day. I contacted talktalk "engineers" 5 times over the month, each time i was asked the same questions and given the same answers (trained monkeys could have done that job). However yesterday i managed to get through to a Manager who believe it or not was helpfull. He read from his script but they were different answers and he sent me a new router. Now I have security cameras routed through my router and i am told by 1 person at talktalk that changing routers will not affect them, but by another person at talktalk that they will all need reprograming. WHO DO I BELIEVE WHAT DO I DO.

I bid for this item and won the bidding at 65.00 which is a very low price and i thought how lucky until it arrived and lasted for 20 mins. Did they know it was defective, i dont think so as the packageing was as good as factory packageing. So i dont think they conned me lets see

I will return the product Roveway R8 with your return label asap. I hope your concern is for this particular unit is confined to it. If your concern is for the whole of the units you would have a major problem on your hands with product recall and loss of sales. Due to this concern of yours i have reported this matter to Trading Standards who should be informed if your concern is for the whole units. I hope that the problem is confined to this particular unit then we will all be happy, you wont have to recall units and i will have mine returned.

I have been having correspondence with your ebay site but have not had any definite answers.
The problem is i purchased on the 20th February a ROVERWAY R8 balance scooter.
We charged it up as per the instructions and it was perfect for 20 mins after which it packed up and went no more
The problem is i have asked for a replacement which under the terms of your warranty i am due to.
I have only been offered a refund. I realise that the price i paid of £64.00 was low but that was the result of an auction in which i was lucky and does not affect my statutory rights.

I tried to solve my port forwarding issues using blogs and utube and friends etc. all to no avail.
I saw the advert for port forwarding and I saw the cost so I struggled on, being a yorkshireman
I look after my money. Well i paid my money and met "tedie" who was the most helpfull and charming "people" you will meet. After quite a bit of chat back an forth the problems were solved. If you want a solution to port forwarding these are the people.
