I have two Blanc de Chine lamps. They are tall and narrow. I could not use standard bell-shaped shades. I could not find a drum shade that I could use on any website that wasn't prohibitively expensive, including some "Make Your Own Custom Shade" websites. These lamps sat for a year with no shades. Finally, I stumbled across Lamps USA and I had hope. The first shades I ordered where way too big. It is so hard to know what to choose until you see the shade on the lamp and play with harp sizes. So, the first shades I ordered from Lamps USA didn't work. I'm returning them now that I got a size that does work from Lamps USA. I wish they offered more sizes and colors but that's the only 'wish' I have. I spoke to customer service over the phone and the woman who helped me process the return paperwork was also terrific at helping me envision the new shades I ordered. She spent some time with me which I appreciated. I didn't want to go through another return and be back at Square Zero. Lamps USA is highly recommended for those hard-to-work-with lamps. The shades also seem very durable and like they will last a long time. It's all good with Lamps USA as far as I am concerned - and I am not easy to please (too perfectionistic). I hope all of you have the experience I had.
