I was looking for a tutor for my son, googled tutors, and care.com showed 4-5 that have the requisite knowledge. I had to pay to join and then couldn't find the tutors that were in the google results. I found 4 other candidates. The one person that I messaged had a tutor price of $25-55/hour and quoted to me a $75/hr rate - way too high. I requested a refund and was told no via email. So I researched to call the 800# and realized I was charged an extra $19 for something called a combined check plan on top of the $15 premium plan for my first month. I called and still did not get my refund, they said they aren't responsible for rates or people replying. They are just a bridge to potential tutors. What a scam and giant waste of time.
