  • Hansel Mazda

6/5/17

Pros:
Good sales man. Knowledgeable about the car and provided a non-pressure test drive.
Willing to accept best web price if documented.

Cons:
Unnecessarily rude sales manager continually trying to get me to accept color I didnt want.
Small inventory of Mazda 6 vehicles
Incompetent back office.
O Despite an appointment to pick-up the car, the paperwork was not ready. It took 2 hours to complete the paperwork due to multiple errors including incorrect price, incorrect deposit amount, misspelling of last name, and incorrect year of car (entered as 2002 not 2017) as well as a broken printer (printer required to print the corrected forms).
O After paperwork was completed, I still had to come back to dealership twice to complete the sale.
O DMV paperwork was incorrectly submitted. It took 3 months, multiple calls, and a visit to get correct registration and title.
Suggest taking a test drive at Hansel Mazda, but buying online from a dealership that will deliver the car to you at home.

  • Virgin Atlantic

It used to be that with advance planning and flexibility one could get upper class seats with miles to go from San Francisco to London. That is no longer true. Over the next 9 month there are only a few seats available none of which have return flights within a reasonable time frame. For most months, there are no upper class seats available with miles at all. From New York, it is a different story. It appears that Virgin Atlantic no longer cares about San Francisco. Unless things change, Virgin Atlantic, no longer deserves the loyalty of San Francisco residents.

  • Basque Tours

9/14/15

If you want a great tour of the Basque Country, choose Basque Tours. If you want an ok tour, choose any of the other tour companies. Let me explain. Jon and the staff at Basque Country Tours are Basque. They speak Basque. They know Basque history, Basque culture, and every nook and cranny in the Basque country Spanish and French. For example, on our tour from Bilbao to San Sebastian, we had originally not planned to go to Guernica. When Jon from Basque Country Tours met us, we told him that we'd like to go to Guernica (we knew about the bombing during WWII and wanted to see it). No problem, Jon rearranged our itinerary and took us to Guernica. He not only knew about the bombing, but the history of Guernica back to the 12th century, why it was important to the Basque people, and how it fit in with Franco's treatment of the Basque people. He shared personal stories of family members who lived through those times. Touring with Jon and his staff was touring with a friend who happened to be a Basque expert.
With guides from other tour companies, when you got to site A they recited speech A, site B speech B and so forth. The guides didn't have the in-depth knowledge Jon and his staff had or their passion for the Basque Country. Lacking the knowledge and passion, they were either not able or not willing to customize their tours to our interests. Other tours might be less expensive, but if getting a real understanding of the Basque Country from an engaging guide is important to you, there is no question, go with Basque Country Tours.

  • Low Price Skates

4/14/14

I wanted a particular pair of roller skates. All the major sites from Amazon to Walmart were sold out. Lowpriceskates had them at a good price and they shipped them in a reasonable amount of time just as they said they would.

  • USA Lanyards Wholesale Store

4/14/14

While the site is a bit cluttered, it is the go to place if you want a lanyard. They have a huge inventory and very good prices. If you're confused, they have a very helpful, responsive help line.

  • Ibcart

This site shows prices for a wide range of products at different sites. However, the reviews they show for the sites are very unreliable. So unreliable that I wonder if they allow the site to create their own reviews.

  • AjRichies

Avoid AJRichie regardless of their ads.
I strongly recommend Not buying anything from AJRichie. I was hoping to save $100 on a camera and accessories and ended up paying $150 more than I would have had I purchased the same camera and accessories from a reputable site. This is what they did. They advertised a camera for about $100 less than retail. After I purchased the camera online, I got several e-mails from AJRichie that I needed to call them as soon as possible as there was a problem with my order. When I didn't respond immediately to the e-mails, they called me. The rep on the phone was very low key and made some very reasonable suggestions regarding accessories I might want. All of which I was going to eventually purchase. The prices for these accessories were higher than I expected and when I questioned him about them, he said that the prices I was quoting were for inferior products which AJRichie didn't carry and that I should get quality accessories for the quality camera I was buying. I foolishly agreed. As turned out the prices were several times more expensive than was reasonable and ending up not only wiping out the $100 saving but adding an addition $150 to what I could have gotten had a used a reputable site. Later that day, I found online reviews which described how customers are misled by AJRichie and end up paying much more than they would have on a reputable site. Unfortunately, it was after AJRichie was closed for the day. The next day, I called to cancel my order. They rep on the phone put me on hold and when he came back said that the order had already been shipped by FedEx and that I would be getting a tracking number by e-mail before the end of the day. When I checked my credit card, I found that my credit card had already been charged for the full amount. To make a long story short, I didn't get a tracking number that day. I called every day for the next four days and was told that my order had been shipped that morning and that I would get a tracking number by end of the day. It wasn't till 5 days after I placed the order that I got a tracking number (it was a USPS tracking number not a FedEx tracking number). When the shipment arrived, the extra battery I had ordered was for a different camera not the one I ordered. I called and I was told that they had noticed the error and were sending me the correct battery. I also told them that there was no warranty card with the shipment even though it was mentioned in both the invoice that came with shipment as well as the in the documentation from the manufacturer. They said they would send me one. However, I still have not received one. One last note, the invoice that came with the package came with a list of everything that was ordered but only a total price so that there was no easy way to prove that I had been over charged. They are very good at what they do, getting unsuspecting customers to be tricked into grossly over paying for camera equipment. I strongly recommend not buying anything fromAJRichie.
