Before you read my review, please go sure to the better business bureau and read the complaints that others have filed before me. In addition, after my review, please expect a rebuttal full of nonsense that they post to anyone who has posted an unfavorable review. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THIS COMPANY. ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS WILL BE SIMILAR TO MINE.
I requested a replica of a dress in which we agreed to the price of $1000. I told them I needed my dress no later then 11/1. I asked them for photos of the dress to which they replied it would cost me extra. This is because the dresses are outsourced to another country so it's not possible to get a picture. They didn't tell me that in the beginning. I paid half upfront and was asked for the other half at which time they told me the dress would be shipped soon. As my wedding date approached and I had no indication of shipping I started mailing them daily to which no reply was warranted. They then sent me a copy of the contract in the mail and told me that it was a "prefered" date. It is obvious that a wedding dress is required prior to the wedding date. I then started receiving rude and abusive emails calling me a Bridezilla and a Karen (they accused me of writing a Google review which was similar to my complaint and which in fact It wasn't me, just another poor souls with a story like mine). They referred to me as Karen Jodi Parot. Then... for no apparent reason (I didn't not request any alterations or additional work) they requests an additional $575 for the dress to be shipped. They did this because there was never a dress to begin with and they knew I would not pay any additional money. This is extortion.
I have never in my life experienced such and abuse and unprofessionalism from any merchant. I disputed the amount with my Amex and thus far have received half. I have petitioned the company to reopen the other half in which I will be providing additional documentation. If I do not prevail, I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. If this is not resolved accordingly, I can be provided releif under a long arm statute in which I will sue them for the balance due, punitive damages, slander and libel and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Do not do business with this company. I have two weeks until my wedding and still scrambling for a dress. The reviews you see with five stars are most likely fake! RUN RUN RUN!

Clearly it only makes total sense for any company to respond to a legally defamatory review. In an attempt to shed truth & clarity it is simply the responsible and correct thing to do. So our reply is not a bunch of “non-sense”. We are simply going to state some facts that you somehow mistakenly left out of your emotional based review. For instance you failed to mention we have an A rating with the BBB and have been in business and worked with thousands of brides for nearly 25 years.

Another fact that you left out is that you actually requested a Rush Order, not a standard order, (during a Global Pandemic) in June - for a ‘wedding’ that was supposed to happen in less than 6 months away. Anyone should be able to understand how that would be important information for a potential client to consider.

Notice, we disclose to all clients (especially brides) upfront that rush orders though possible still are not encouraged. Therefore one should always allow as much time as possible for production. And notice, the majority of issues we have ever had with anyone, like yourself, was based around either extremely restricted funds and/or a Rush Order – for a wedding…… Possibly that is where you are seeing your similarities with the minority of post.

Regardless, our disclosures about timing can be easily found on our Q & A page of our website at www.dariuscordell.com/questions/ for all to see, upfront.

You indicated on your order form your preferred ship date was by November 1. Again, that is less than 6 months from June. Most brides realize that during normal times (while not in a Pandemic) it can usually take 6-9 months to produce a bridal garment. This is standard for the entire bridal industry. Look it up. Nevertheless, you still became overly anxious and incredibly impatient about your Rush Order. And then decided to very prematurely on October 23rd begin posting slanderous & anonymous reviews specifying the amounts you had paid. We had no other impatient brides who ordered on a rush that were waiting on a product, with those amounts. Just you. The majority of all of our other clients also took our advise and ordered well before their date. So this was not hard to figure out. It is sad you could not be patient and simply wait until at least the date you had requested.

Once this was realized you were reminded again about the 3 documents you signed and the disclosures within those documents.

You were also reminded of our pricing disclosures that are also located on our Q & A page of our website at www.dariuscordell.com/faq/ for all to see and accept prior to placing an order.

Remember we had also previously informed you that if you were to request and/or require any more of our time we would have to revert you from Flat Fee back to A’la Cart pricing so we could be compensated for our time & efforts, just as it says in the documents you signed. Possibly you forgot that disclosure and mistakenly left it out of your review too.

In any case, it should be understood that over 95% of all bridal attire (especially those that cost just $1000 are in deed made outside of the US.) That is common knowledge…. However unlike what you have tried to insinuate images are still emailed from country to country every day. So that is not why we would not send you a picture of someone sewing a garment or a picture of an unfinished product, which is also not done with any vendor. Like we told you in an email, we don’t have a problem sending you a picture of an actual finished product if you are unable to wait for it to arrive to view in person – but you would have to pay for that special service as it was not listed as part of our process on our Q & A page. You choose not to pay for the service. Unfortunately you left that fact out of your review as well.

So like we have already discussed, you have accrued charges & fees associated with your rush order, per the disclosures & documents you signed. You already have access to your itemized invoice. If you refuse to pay the bill you have made there is nothing we can do for you. But understandably that balance will have to be paid for us to continue to assist you. If you need another copy of your contracts highlighted for you just let us know we’d be glad to send them to you, Amex, the BBB or whomever you like for them to read. If you don’t have the funds to pay your balance at this moment please try to make payment arrangements immediately instead of posting repetitive false & inaccurate reviews that were derived from your feelings and not actual facts.
