Dan Anton, moving specialist, *******199@ JC Movers Co. Removed 2 items of furniture (sofa & dresser) after 7pm on Thursday, 10/15/09 from assisted living apartment. My 91 y/o mother is frail with diagnosis of Alzheimer's. I am daughter / POA & not aware of this situation until 10/16/09. At this point I negotiated a price of $200.00 (signed invoice & cancelled check) with the understanding he was to collect her mattress/boxspring, chair, end table on 10/23 & deliver to a different assisted living. It is now 10/26 and Dan has refused to deliver the agreed upon items, necessitating her sleep on a sofa (which is unsafe, risking injury if she falls during the night).
This JC Movers apparently is subcontracted from Shamrock Movers *******305 Shamrock Movers has a large ad in Yellow Pages. Website:
www.shamrockmovingand delivery.com I was unsucessful in contacting them. Milwaukee *******305 is an answering machine with this Dan Anton picking up calls. I strongly feel this is a scam for a moving company to take advantage of a confused elderly person. I have made countless phone calls to Dan Anton for him to complete our agreement. His last comments were to charge an additional $100.00 for the 3 items remaining at her previous assisted living apartment.
