About Me

Working with competitive & "everyday" athletes for over 30 yrs. Constantly striving to improve my knowledge & understanding of how the body works & how to minimize the effect of gravity. Also work with many "special populations" (e.g. Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Hip-Knee-Shoulder replacements, post-stroke/post-TBI, pre-hab & rehab, etc.) Safety is rule #1.

B.S. Neuroscience, B.S. Biology, Athletic Trainer (on-field & off-field duties); Certified as Personal Trainer, Movement Specialist, Corrective Bio-mechanist, Ergonomist, & Water Safety Instructor. History of competing in short-course triathlons (swim, bike, run), marathons, and many, many road races. Rock-climbing, parachuting, sailing & cross-country skiing enthusiast.

“Caution: NOT legit - get HANDS-ON training for CPR”

** I'm NOT National CPR Foundation staff ** (Not sure why SiteJabber.com site identifies me as working for NCF).

While online courses give you theoretical knowledge of CPR & First Aid, these are in-person, HANDS-ON skills that need actual practice. Just as you wouldn't want your massage therapist, physical therapist or surgeon to have ONLY ONLINE training, neither will the person who's life you're trying to save. Why? You won't have the mind-body practice & training to development good judgment on HOW to perform the skills accurately & in the correct places.

NOTE: CPR done correctly will generally include CRACKING the person's ribs to get enough heart compression. That's how firmly you need to do CPR chest-compressions. Can only learn that thru HANDS-ON practice (e.g. On a CPR-mannequin, like resusci-Annie)

Tip for consumers:
Generally NOT recommended for anyone who must use CPR & First Aid skill professionally. Possibly good for re-certification purposes in SOME places (If accepted, perhaps alternate 2-yr HANDS-ON certification with this Online certification?)
