I used Flipkey for 5 years, until now everything has been good, now they restrict the user info from the owner that does not allow them to make sure the renter is a good choice and is not a criminal or scammer.

The proof is in the numbers, my accountant turned in my last 3 years rental numbers, they are below, this year flipkey didn't get nearly enough numbers to pay my expenses and now this property is costing me money in overhead cost.

Despite people traveling more, bookings are down a huge %. Below is the yearly rental amount..

2017- $39,094.78.
2016- $62,050.21
2015- $73,394.55

Numbers do not lie, do not recommend anyone list and pay for this service. I do not know why they are not getting any inquiries any longer (but they still have the hand out every year for me to pay them and for the customers booking fee) but they are no longer a good option for renting a vacation rental home.

I was an avid CNN viewer, what has happened to the channel? I really enjoyed getting my news from CNN when I felt that it was balanced and truthful. Even now I try to watch it but the spoon of spin doctor they try to feed, I just can't swallow. I have really enjoyed one America news, I wish I got it in my area. I gave CNN a two star simply because it seems that most networks has an agenda these days one way or the other, I hope someday journalism comes back. I miss you CNN I hope one day you realize how bad this period has been or you have gone off course. Of course as long as there's less than inform people watching your Channel believing the incorrect news that you report, your ratings will stay high enough that maybe it'll never change. I hope that's not the case

Surprises like this kills our business, I have not had a rent increase in 4 years and need to have one in order to stay in business, now that home away is increasing fees in under "booking fees" of 5%, my rent increase can't be realized and I still have to pay yearly subscription plus 3% credit processing. Way to kill small business homeaway! Very dissapointed of the control and limits this has put on me and my customers. Flip key is looking better in my eyes. Booking fees, ok, but 5%? Excessive. I get that home away brings the customers who make it possible for me to stay in business, I get it, I appreciate it, I do. But this is WAY excessive to do to homeaways customers and mine. Shame on you homeaway!!
