My free trial turned out better than I expected. I was expecting the worst.
- My PayPal account was not charged and
- it was easy to cancel.

But I hesitated to even go with the trial as the pricing seemed like a trap:
A one-week free trial that turns into $33/month ($396/year) if you continue.
Or sign up for a One Year Pro account for $95.88 which is just $7.99/month.

It also wasn't clear if during the trial I would be able to download my document and print it easily. I was able to download in. DOC format, save to my hard drive fix a few things and then print out. I was concerned I could only print directly from the cloud.

My concerns turned out to be unnecessary and their website could explain things better.

I came close to switching to the yearly contract during the free trial, but at this time the one document was all that I need. I may sign up later and go with the yearly service.

Tip for consumers:
If you go with the free trial remember to quit before it ends, switch to the Yearly service or be ready to pay the $33/month

Great feedback, thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. Your comments have been forwarded to our Marketing team for review. To clarify, if you select any of the license options including the one week free trial, you can print, edit and download documents. If you prepay for the year which is $95.88, we offer a significant discount because you are prepaying. If the 7 day free trial is cancelled within 7 days, there are no charges. If the offer is not cancelled, the option reverts to the $33.00 per month plan until cancelled and you can cancel at any time.

Backage, food, drinks, etc. all cost extra. That's fine. I accept that, but...

But here are the 2 problems I see. They also charge
- 'Payment Processing Fee' of around $7 US (10.00 SGD) per flight.
- 'Seat Selection Fee" of US $5
(This can be unchecked, but is checked by default.)

I want to like them, but find this deceptive.

Tip for consumers:
Be aware of the 'Payment Processing Fee' and be ready to uncheck the seat selection.

I have placed over 100 orders from AliExpress stores in the past 3 years. Thinking back I am amazed that I still keep going back for punishment.

I understand that AliExpress is made of thousands of sellers. I have had bad experiences with many sellers and AliExpress itself. Here are some:
- Paid extra for express shipping, but a mistake added several days to the delivery.
- Ordered from 2 separate shops a few hours apart, They turned out to be friends and held my first order to wait for the 2nd order so they could save a few bucks even though I had paid for express delivery for both.
- I received an obviously used product. Later they admitted it was a store demo model.
- Had an LED light smoke and start melting. They asked for a photo. I sent one. Then they asked for a video. I asked why and got a refund by threatening to leave a 1-star review.
- Description of an LED light said it had a switch. The one I got did not.
- I get spam email or messages months after buying from a shop.
- Tricked me into signing up for AliPay, which means they keep my credit card. I tried to quit and get this message."I am sorry to inform you that currently Alipay Accounts cannot be cancelled yet."

Very minor, but worth mentioning:
- If you block scripts can be hard to log into the website.
- You are expected to log in and click "Confirm Goods Received".

It is always the same. They promise you a discount on the next order or offer to fix things if you give a good review.

The last straw came recently. One store sent me the following message:
"Please leave us 5 stars feedback to get $2 no limit coupon from our store."
I left a 1-star review.

Tip for consumers:
- Set up an email address just for this use or for years you will get junk mail. Make sure your email address is not visible to sellers.
(I would rather they not even have my name and address.)
- Understand that AliExpress is the mall and there are good/bad stores inside it.
- Leave negative feedback if it is deserved.
- Careful not to sign up for AliPay unless you want it.
- Understand that item may not be as described or could be total junk. Often times we are getting the factory rejects
