They advertise laptops for sale at reduced prices. The only option is to pay by Pay Pal manual payment. Firstly they send a copy of your order with an order number on it. Once they have '' checked you out!'' to ''make sure you are genuine''. Approx 24hrs later. They request payment for your order. Instructions are to, enter your paypal account. Go to option at top of page 'send money'... type in their email address. *******@2cart.co.uk. Put the amount on the invoice... and they tell you it will request a reference number. Where you type in the order number...
Then they briefly summarise the details by saying.''In short Go to send to. Type email address. Amount being paid. And press send payment. Then sit back and wait for your laptop to arrive. NOTE WELL... THEY ARE NOT KNOWN TO PAYPAL!
I didn't blindly follow their brief summary... I was trying to work out where to type my reference number... and couldn't find out where. Then I noticed a message from Pay Pal which said.,, with the details you have submitted we are unable to confirm that the recipient has registered with us. Pay Pal will send an email to recipient explaining how to complete your transaction.
I rang Pay Pal and they confirmed I should not send the payment as the company email is not registered with them... They suggested I contact the company as I should really only have to use a Pay Pal invoice with the options being 'Pay' or 'Decline'
I rang the firm. Only an ansa machine telling me to leave a message or send an email. I left a message saying PayPal did not know them. Needless to say I have heard nothing since.
I'm just glad I never pressed the send option or I would have lost my money. 0ver £250
