I booked a stay in Athens thru booking.com. First the date got changed on me (as I was searching which of course I did not noticed as I booked [date booked June 5, wanted July 5]). The next day I alerted the company about the mistake and ask if they could refund me the sum or book me into another accommodation. Come to find out, that the money went to private owner and this guy refused to refund the money (by the way do not book the apartment in Athens called "Welcome Home" - this guy is scammer). When ask how we can solve this problem they said we cant help you, contact the property directly (which I did and the Welcome Home property - no you lost your money). I booked for three nights (and I was willing to pay for one night) and they property is not willing to reimburse for at least two nights what!? In any case, no help from booking.com basic message: We cant help you!

Ideel or ideeli it doesn’t matter – DON’T ORDER FROM THEM. Horrible return policy, horrible customer service…if you can get service. Over priced items that you can get for cheaper at Amazon etc. with a free return policy/customer service. Well, I ordered some items, however I did not realize that these items could not be return, I placed my order at 11:45am by 12:10pm (so 25 minutes later) same day I tried to cancel my order by emailing the so called customer service, and I called…no answer. Instead, one day or two days later I get a confirmation email that my order has shipped. Really? After I tried to cancel the order, well any other merchant has better policies than this ideel/ideeli…money grabbing scam. DON’T ORDER FROM THEM!

Tip for consumers:
When you order, I would recommend to only order cheap items and not high priced items since ones bought you are stuck. The return or refund policy is horrible, other merchant have so much better policies. Oh, I no chance cancel your order...no customer service :-( Stick to sites that deliver.

Thanks for giving us your feedback here on SiteJabber. We do offer returns on many of the items sold on Ideel. If an item is being sold as a final sale, it's marked as "non-returnable" on the item order page. The return eligibility is shown to the right of the photo for each item sold on our site and is also stated on the order confirmation email sent after checkout. Should you wish to cancel an order after it is placed, you can do so within 2 hours after placing the order through your account by going to My Orders and clicking on the order and removing the items from your order.

I'm very sorry no one answered when you called but we don't have a traditional call center. As an online company you can reach out agents via Live Chat by using this link: https://support.ideel.com/app/chat/chat_launch or email customer service at support@ideel.com. The agents are all working live chat which is why they are not always available to answer the phones and they will respond to you within 24 hours if a message is left on the customer service phone line with a phone number to call back. I'm sorry for any delay in responding to your email and we do strive to respond with 24 hours but from time to time there are delays in meeting that timeframe.

If the agents aren't able to cancel an order before it ships, they will be glad to assist with returning items after they are received. I'm happy to help you return this order if you can send me a message with your order number.
