I have bought some items from Kogan, very close together and regretting it BIG TIME!

3 FAULTY ITEMS so far and counting!

I agree, I should have probably purchased one to see how the company performed but some of the prices seemed good and the REVIEWS, well let's say they seem too good to be true now I've seen the light!

Seeing as reviews of the items are in order from 5 Stars downwards not in DATE ORDER.
This is not a true reflection! I found lots of reviews that are 1 star from days ago and 5 stars from months ago. I believe that's deceitful.

Trying to get your money back under AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW is like trying to get blood out of a stone.
They will try everything to not do this.
I had a fault with numerous Kogan branded items, each time you are delayed in addressing the fault by silly questions about trying this when it's clearly faulty and that then it's all about replacement and not refund…. REFUND is a very bad word for Kogan. I'm very sure staff are trained to do anything but grant this.

Email response times on queries and concerns take days to answer only to be left more frustrated and wished I'd bought local or from a more responsive and proactive company.

Customer service are Rude and Abrasive. They just rather get rid of you, put you through hoops
For days or just give you the run around hoping you'll get bored and go away.
This is such a long journey!

Returns take days and days to organise because of the delays and self testing requirements and then there's the 14 day period that they have to check the product is faulty then the shipping of the new replacement. They say the replacement has been shipped but don't send a tracking number. How can the replacement be shipped when it's then said it's still in dispatch and they can't pull it out so you can have a refund under AGAIN, AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW!
This tactic is very malicious to the buyer. Saying a replacement is coming but in fact it won't be until your item is checked. Is it shipped or in dispatch waiting checking. It can only be one or the other.
Overall It took 2 months for ONE purchase to be resolved even thought I asked numerous times for my money back, even before returning the item and quoting my rights. They are just ignored with "Thank you for your patience"
Another issue then starts which is I won't get any of that warranty back for the purchase in the 2 months lost!

When they finally refund it always comes with a sarcastic remark, thank you for shipping with us!

Kogan are very deceitful and the items are certainly not worth the smaller price tag both in quality and customer service/support. It comes with too much stress and dissatisfaction.

You would expect quicker and better support, Kogan should know better seeing they have been referred to the ACCC and Choice many times for these practices.

Stick to your guns and ask for a refund. If they don't comply then report them.

I have asked for a refund of my membership because they are not performing to a satisfactory standard and have very poor products

I personally would avoid KOGANS OWN PRODUCTS. They have been a nightmare for me

Kogan were supposed to talk to me about canceling my membership, the credit I have and the terms but they just canceled it and haven't seen a refund

It's pathetic

Tip for consumers:
Stay away from Kogan, they have an automated
response to reviews that the show as they are going to act on your review but never contact you. It’s terrible service and know one to call

Products used:
Cameras, racks, pans, keyboard, TV

Beware of this company!
Conveyancing Solicitors state on their own website:
" The 3 most common mistakes people make when choosing their Conveyancer"
1, "They don't choose a specialist conveyancer"
We thought we did using them but their service is pathetic, owners names wrong on contract. Wrong address on contract. Wrong buyers name on contract which took weeks to correct, initially Negotiated via email on costs all included for $330 but got charged $752.10 without explanation. Apparently It doesn't matter that I have that costing in writing. Called the principle of Conveyancing Solicitors who was extremely rude, shouted and was arrogant and wouldn't refund the fee.
2, They title as "Lack of Communication" This one is funny! It states, "Time and again we see conveyancing law firms exhibit a high lack of communication with their clients" check, yes you do that, we emailed 4 times and had no response, called 2 times and was promised a return call each time but not one returned call even a week later, that is outrageous!
They go on to say "Sometimes it impossible to get through to the person doing your conveyancing by Telephone or email" yep that's also true, see above and still waiting 3 weeks on for a reply from them on email and no calls made to us to return them.
" This causes a worry and stressful time for you", yeah, your not kidding. Very stressed due to no contact and lack of communication and very poor service completing legal documents which we had to spend time emailing them to correct things... yet no refund but Wait there's more!
It goes on to say " We work together with both you and all required third parties so that your conveyance proceeds both smoothly and on track" What a load of rubbish, nothing smooth about it and way off track!
3, is labeled "Systems" it then states, " Some law firms don't have up to the date systems, this means that costly mistakes can be made" what like over charging us because you can't get basic information correct like the names and address!
And it continues saying " it may mean you are not kept informed making it frustrating and stressful do you" correct, I wasn't informed and very frustrated and stressed! Even today as no action has been taken... no commutation.
This is the funniest parts in their marketing promotion
"When you contact us, you will receive either an immediate response or a response the same day". NO I'm still waiting for you to contact me... weeks on, no calls or emails
But it also states " You can rely on us" Total rubbish. I believe you really need to readdress your marketing/Vision Statement and lead by example, Conveyancing Solicitors have fallen very short of their own missions and we are over $442.10 out of pocket.
We are now taking our claim further and in our opinion having bought and sold properties before, do your research and don't go with these guys, I feel ripped off, Angry, Stressed, Frustrated and totally let down. They certainly accomplished these these tasks well!

I am emailing you all as a loyal but very dissatisfied customer of Hotels.com. I have Booked all my hotels via their service for over 8 years has been a great experience until now. On 4/3/14 at 11.02am Brisbane Australia time I called to book the Outrigger Reef On The Beach from the 10/6/14 - 22/6/14 and spoke to a customer service rep about my booking.

The rep was polite at the start but doesn't understand the hotel I was looking into booking, I had to spell this out. The rep then looked into the price, I informed him that the Hotels.com app had a 10% off voucher and was coming up at $2998. 30 but he could only get a price of $3331 and informed me that " the app your using has hidden charges that they don't tell you about" but he would bring the hotel and the dates up.

I asked what the hidden charges are as this cant be right, he said they do have hidden charges... no explanation... i knew that was rubbish, I have used this before. I informed him as well that Expedia had the same hotel for $3090. Within minutes he has authorisation to price match this and proceeded to tell me the discount I would get back on my card, I informed him that I hadn't booked any thing yet so I'm not sure how you refund me if I haven't booked yet.

I then informed the rep that it was cheaper to book it via the Hotels.com app as it was still over $90 cheaper than he was giving me.

He then to my amazement informed me that I would have to cancel the booking if i needed to with the hotel directly if I used the Hotels.com App and he again was pushing for me to book Over the phone with him. I clearly informed him that the information regarding the dealing direct with the Hotel to cancel was incorrect and that he was trying to con me into booking with him.

The policy quite clearly states it has a cancellation up until the 7/6/14. I pressed the issue to which he knew he was clearly wrong in the tactics he has used. He then tried back tracking which he dug himself deeper! Just saying ahhhh, I meant this and ahhh I think you miss understood. There is nothing to misunderstand that you are trying to rip me off!

I asked to speak to his manager and told him that if he hung up I would just keep calling back to report him. Prateesh, his manager... I think, could be a friend, came on the phone and seemed concerned but did very little to rectify the issue except give me a FALSE email address to formally complain too. Good tactics guys, but I'm way ahead of you and have contacted many source's over this scam!.

I would like to know after all my loyal years of using this website and the Hotels.com services that I am to be treated like an idiot thinking that what the rep says is the truth. I informed the rep that I would be letting everyone on the Internet know the new tactics Hotels.com staff are using which are clearly illegal, deceiving and very unprofessional.

I would asked for a response from Hotels.com to my concerns and formal complaint, asking that you listen to the conversation that we had, its a real eye opener to see how loyal customers are treated and hope to have the wool pulled over there eyes. It sickens me to know that this rep could be doing this to many other customers and be getting a away with it or is this how they are trained?

Yes you guessed it, Hotels.com haven't replied to my concerns so I guess they are happy for the sales team to use these tactics as long as they get the sale. Well I'm here to tell you that you have lost my loyalty and I will let everyone I know about the Hotels.com deceptive ways of trading

I was really looking forward to see how they dealt with this claim and if they really would listen to the tapes and action this injustice. I guess they are just another company trying everything to make money the illegal way.
