I wish I had read the reviews before I signed up for this service. The "matches" I've been sent don't coincide with my preferences--at all. The few men who have contacted me are not people I would ever consider dating, primarily because of our very different socioeconomic circumstances and education levels. I have two master's degrees. I'd have little in common with a retired house painter. They all, without exception, very obviously lied about their respective ages, as well. "I'm 59." (No--you're much closer to 70. Your liver spots, bad toupee, and oversized false teeth give you away.) Oh--and beware of the Nigerian scammers, who will, at some point, come calling.
Eharmony works a bit different than other sites as we deliver compatible matches to you, instead of allowing our members to browse through profiles. If you have received a match that is outside your current Match Preferences, this is most likely a Flex Match. Flex matches are created when anything other than “Very Important” is selected under your Importance setting.
EHarmony works hard to identify and close individuals who misrepresent who they are on our site, and we take our members complaints seriously. If you have concerns about a particular match, please do not hesitate to report your match to us so that appropriate steps can be taken to keep eHarmony safe. You can report your match directly from their profile page or from within your communication
Contact us at membercare@eharmony.com and we can look into this to make sure all is well with your account.- Stephen
