I like to have a look at scams.
If you are unsure whether a shopping site is a scam or not - ask me!
Boring me likes php programming with a tint of mySQL...
Site uses a fake VeriSign and fake McAfee logo to suggest their victims that it is a reputable site. Authorize.net and Paypal logos are fake too.
Take care, they are obviously dishonest.
Site uses a fake VeriSign seal, this technique is often used by phishers.
Address on site no real address (Cyprus)
Domain registration data is Fake.
Conclusion: Avoid it!
An interesting piece about wedding dress scams: http://www.sitejabber.com/blog/2011/05/15/wedding-dress-scams/
This is a domain registration scam from China. They claim that somebody in China want to register a name similar to yours. Aim is to squeeze some money out of you.
That is what the send out:
We are a Network Service Company which is the domain name registration center in Shanghai, China. On July 22,2013, we received an application from Taisheng Limited requested "********" as their internet keyword and China (CN) domain names. But after checking it, we find this name conflict with your company name or trademark. In order to deal with this matter better, it's necessary to send email to you and confirm whether this company is your distributor or business partner in China?
The minimum requirement for a webstore is to have a company name and an address. Both are missing here.
The underdeclaration of value is a criminal offense and makes the receiver a tax offender.
On top of that the does not publish its China location and is using a fake address.
The site is IMHO suspicious and has certainly ethical issues. They are pobably ashamed of being Chinese.
The site has a fake US number, but has certainly no physical address in the US. There is no company address on the website. You even don't know what country that gang operates from.
I don't believe that they are scammers, but buyers have a right to know where goods are shipped from.
Another China counterfeit scam, here are a few very similar ones, probably by the same gang:
besttmail.com
mattshoes.com
pmclothes.com
ckyclub.com
leisure-shoesmall.com
nessystyle.com
crazywhener.com
nakoshoes.com
360mallshoes.com
Site uses a fake VeriSign logo, a typical sign of fraudulent sites.
... another credit card processing site that operates from China.
The risk that your credit card number will be sold on to other parties is very high. If you did already a transtion via fristpay.com change your card immidiately.
I am a MyWOT contributor for a looong time and often rate sites there. I can't see any big problems there. There are a few minor problems like scammers rate their own site positive. And of course there are some false negatives too.
If YOUR site has a wrong bad rating you should contact those who gave you the rating and ask them to reconsider, specially if your site had some violations that you corrected.
You can also go to their forum and post your site in the 'site owners' category.
Chinese game points scam. Very common, all are cheats.
Counterfeit scam that's now spamming sitejabber with fake reviews.
Lol, "founded in 2009" - but the website just registered in April 2014. Of course with a fake address!
Looks like a scam to me.
Forum spamming electronics seller that likes to make it look like they are a UK company with fake address etc - but which is actually located in China.
Store is flooding sitejabber with fake reviews. Further, uses fake security seals, a sign of dishonesty.
Be Warned - Stay Away!
PS: The use a fake phone number too. Area code doesn't match city.
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thanks for your review! I don't know reviews comments of other business, but I must clear that our business reviews, good or bad, are all from our customers. Maybe you don't trust business, but you should trust sitejabber, which is really a good reviews website.
Best regards!
Forum spamming plus substandard China dresses made from old rice bags. The stolen images on the website plus the fake Whois data isn't too helpful either.
Another domain registration scam from China. They claim that somebody in China wants to register a domain similar to yours, but with *. Cn ending. It's of course just a trick to scam you.
