My laptop seemed to be running slow and kept getting a pop up saying my driver is out of date and must update it. I'm not a very computer savvy person so thought it was something I must do. So I called the number provided. $24.99 is what they tell me. So this I paid and also gave them access to my laptop. They then tell me and show me a few things on my laptop that are very bad and must be removed. That package cost me $139.99. Which also came along with their antivirus. Two weeks after this I went to do a scan and it was unresponsive. I contacted them and was told how to uninstall it and a link to download another. I did so. Still unresponsive. I gave them access to see what the problem was. They worked on it constantly uninstalling and reinstalling it. For two days this happened. When I seen them download something to TWEEK WINDOWS I put a stop to it and told them just to activate my windows firewall and would deal with it later. They have claimed that their server is down and will contact me when an update is available. I had to have Microsoft undo everything that they did to my pc and it was a huge mess. Stay away from these people.

My 86 year old mother had one of them old type flip cell phones. It was something she used maybe a couple times a month when she was away from home. It was easy for her to use and phone only, no texting. She didn't know how and did not care to learn. But it was good enough for us to keep tabs on her and for her to let us know her whereabouts. Then about 6, maybe a little more months ago, she started getting pop ups saying she needed to go purchase a new phone from "boost" because her service would be cut off soon. Hers was no longer compatible She had told me about it and I too thought it was possibly a scam because you would think this would be something she would be notified by mail about. The pop ups continued and last week her phone service was disconnected. Okay so who was this "boost"? Her phone provider was Virgin mobile. And she paid on the go $20 a month. So I googled them and found out Virgin was I guess bought out by sprint/t-mobile who was now "boost". Why did they not send her a letter by mail explaining all this so she could have gotten a new one before all this happened. Not just send continuous pop ups on a cell phone who could have been anyone.
So I called them and they told me the same thing I read online. So we go to the nearest boost store and the nice girl said she qualified for free a few different types of cell phones. There was one tcl flip phone she said she wanted because it looked just like her old one. She doesn't know how touch screens work and doesn't care to learn. But the girl said she doesn't have any in stock and sent us to the neighboring city to get it. I had also inquired about the $15 plan which would have been cheaper than what she had been paying. So we get to the next store and I'm disabled so I sat on the benches in the middle of the store but I was close enough to see her. She got the phone but the guy said the lowest $ amount plan that would come up was the $35 plan talk and text. That he can't change it at the store but we can activate the phone with that then call customer service when we get home and then they could see she was just paying as you go $20 a month and they could change it. And what I did not know yet he had also charged her $20 for the "free" phone. But after hours on the phone and 3 different customer service people no they cannot change her monthly plan. That's an in store promotion and only the store could bring it up. But she was not on a plan. She was pay as you go. So I call the store and the man is still insisting that no he cannot change it. So I informed him we would be returning the phone the following day. Fine he says. And also getting credited for the other $35. No he says he cannot do that. So I told him I was finished dealing with him that my sister would be taking over.
Well now my sister is back in town and I get her involved. She calls the store about getting my mother credited the $20 and $35. Sure he could do the $20 for the phone but not the $35. My sister then calls customer service only for them to tell her no she cannot get credited for the $35 because there was usage on the phone.? WHAT?
Impossible. She hasn't even used it and it's texting that she says the usage was. How do you text on a flip phone that has no keyboard and no touchscreen? We didn't know and my mother sure didn't. And when my sister told me the times these 15 texts were sent we were still driving home. The new flip phone still snug in its box untouched by either of us. It was not us. My sister calls the one phone number that these 15 texts were sent to and the phone number was a disconnected number. We have no idea how these texts were put into my mothers phone bill but it was not her or myself. These guys are huge scam artists. Preying on senior citizens that don't know very much about technology.
She should have been first notified by mail about the change in ownership of the cell phone company and about how her service would be disrupted if she did not get a compatible phone. She never should have been charged the $20 for a "free" phone and she never should have been charged the $35 for a cell phone plan when she was never on one to begin with. She was pay as you go.
Don't purchase anything from these rip off scammers.
Me and my sister are going to make sure these slimebags don't do this again. If you already have service with them I'd be checking your cell phone bill very carefully.

Tip for consumers:
Don’t use this company to begin with. And if your already a customer start checking your cell phone bill very carefully because I’m guessing that my mother is not the only one that they’ve tried to slip fake texts onto their bills.

Up until now I've been happy with their products and service. I recently called them to find out why my monthly payments amount had not gone down. According to their chart anything under $500 should only be a minimum payment of $40 per month. Anything over $500 is 10% of your balance. What it does not say is that once you are over $500 you will continuously be billed 10% of your bill until you reach a balance of 0. At one time my balance was $755.60. Now even though it's almost down to $400 I am still being charged $75.56 and not $40 as their website states you'll be charged. Don't let these guys fool you.

This company tries to make itself look like a payment plan company like Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm etc…. It is not. What these people do is hold your credit card (they do not accept debit cards) for the entire amount of your purchase then deduct your monthly payments plus interest. Why in gods name would I have you keep my credit card hostage plus charge me interest for doing so? If I could afford to use my credit card for the entire amount of the purchase I would have done so and saved myself the interest charges. Its a useless company that charges people thinking they're getting a good deal. Don't use them. Your much better off using a more reputable one like Affirm.

Tip for consumers:
Don’t use them. If their going to hold your credit card hostage for the entire amount of your purchase anyway either just charge the purchase on your credit card yourself and save yourself the interest charges or go with a better company like Affirm.

I ended up using Affirm which I should have just done to begin with because I’ve used them several times and have never ever had any issues with them. If I could give Splitit zero stars that’s exactly what I would give them. Nothing!!

I purchased a Hamilton Beach-Artisan Bread Maker a week before Christmas as a gift to a friend. Unfortunately she was in the hospital only only recently was able to try it. The thing is garbage. It doesn't mix properly and the bread comes apart like string cheese. So I printed the only available return label they had and packaged it back up. I had my husband drop it off at UPS.
$60.00 it cost. My husband was under the assumption I was being reimbursed so he went ahead and sent it. When I found out the price I called Best Buy asking to be reimbursed for the shipping. I was told not only would I NOT be reimbursed for the shipping but that even though the defective product was only just recently used for the first time they will not accept it back and it would be returned to me.
