Capital Tire Center overtaxes invoices (tax fraud), performs air conditioning work without an A/C license, hires unlawful workers (illegal immigrants) and exploits them, pays cash to the same workers and as a result they fail to withhold taxes (another form of tax fraud). Check your invoice at cash out for proper invoicing. It should have the mileage of your vehicle and even the VIN. Make sure they did not tax you on labor which is quite common at this site. I was a service advisor at this store and quite frankly was stunned by their lack of knowledge and ethics. Before me they had no change at the registers. Capital tires employees were directed to round up or down to the nearest dollar. In California you can only tax parts not labor. They have a tendency to add up parts and labor and then charge taxes on both. Also, cars constantly come back for improper repairs. This business has been reported to BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair), IRS, ICE (immigration) and California Labor Commission. Furhermore, when they opened another store in Whittier they did not appropriate correct business licenses. Capital Tire center was using the business license at one site for the other site. The invoices from the second site had the address of the first? Check your invoices.
