The community in general is alright but as a member you get consistent spamming sent to your email in relation to their bodybuilding products. It took me several weeks of making complaints to successfully cancel my account and have them remove me from their mailing list.

  • StartMenu7

7/25/11

StartMenu7 is a wicked small piece of software that increases the appearance and improves the Start Menu navigation experience. It comes in two versions, one free and one paid, but are both overall pretty good. The one downside to it is that it will be a little slower than the regular Start Menu, but not by much.

  • Birdflu.atspace

7/5/11

I found this after typing in "ViewerFrame? Mode=Motion" into the URL bar. I have found this site to be suspicious and has a high chance of containing malicious software. The site claims to have access to live-security cameras. I clicked on the "Nuclear Lab - High Tech Equipment" one and my Java came up with a security warning asking me to grant access to something. I also received a security-alert from my antivirus program. Some videos seem to work - but they are small, low-quality and overall its hard to confirm the integrity of the site. Thus - I will give it a "meh" rating.

  • ASICS America

7/3/11

Asics are the best shoe brand around. It helped support my knee pain during my runs. It reduces the shock to the knee. I also had a friend with Achilles Tendon and he said that Asics was a fantastic shoe. It gave him extra padding and support, thus he was able to keep running and it recovered within a couple months.

  • Gold Coast Marathon

7/2/11

The Gold Coast Marathon is the best running event I've ever competed in. Each year on the first weekend (both Saturday & Sunday) the GC Marathon & HM is on. It is highly organised with both local and international competitors along with world-class athletes. It is a tough race, but with the music along the way, the beautiful beach view during dawn and the loud roar of thousands of spectators at the finish line makes it all worth it! I recommend this event to anyone who loves running.

P.S. As the 2011 GCM is on now you can go onto the site and watch their live webcam.

Real-time HTML Editor is another great source for programmers. Create your HTML code and see how it turns out real-time. It saves valuable time, it makes coding easier and brings out the best for your customers web-experience.

  • Acma.gov.au

6/25/11

The Australian Communications Media Authority (ACMA) is the place to go to report digital crime in Australia. Complaints in regards to online content, spam, radio and even TV complaints can be made to the ACMA. The site is relatively easy to navigate and make reports. I have made several complaints through them and they dealt will all matters in a very short amount of time. Highly recommended.

  • Molestedcatholics

6/23/11

MolestedCatholics.com is degrading to Christians and Catholics, the site is also defamatory, contains copyright protected material and posts personally identifiable information.

  • SKINS

6/23/11

Skins! Skins! Skins! I am absolutely in-love with these! People often ask me why I wear Skins and are puzzled as to how clothing can benefit an athlete. But to be frank, I could have not purchased a better brand. In winter - they keep me warm. In summer, they cool my body down. Skins declined the significant pain I used to endure in my legs.

Even though they may cost a fair amount - they are well worth it. I even contacted the customer service, had a response within a couple hours and he answered my questions well. I will, however, mention two downsides. The logo's on the Skins fall off within a couple months. I also was told that swimming, or getting your Skins wet will reduce the UV protection that the clothing offers. From memory its a 20-30% decrease.

Overall - very satisfied customer.

  • TOSBack

6/21/11

TosBack.org puts some big, well-known websites privacy policies into one central location. Do you want to keep up-to-date with over 50 website policies? Some are, but not limited to Facebook, Amazon, Paypal, eBay and the white house website. It really is a good site. I suggest subscribing to the RSS feeds.

  • Friendchecker

6/20/11

This is something the parents on this site might be interested in. There are so many antivirus programs out there to protect yourself from malicious scripts. However - social networking can be a dangerous place for people, especially children. How can parents make sure your child isn't a friend with, or communicating with a registered child sex offender online? Well - FriendChecker.com can search your child's friends list. Even though it won't pick up every registered offender, it will make you feel more at ease.

  • My School

6/19/11

Moved to a new location in Australia and not sure what school to put your child in? What to compare schools in your local area through postcode? Want to know the school's academic rates? Maybe you're into politics and want to know how much Government's funding is going into each school? Well here is a perfect website for you! The reports aren't written by the schools themselves, thus the reports aren't biased. Recommended site for Australian parents.

  • MyHospitals.gov.au

6/19/11

Do you want to know more about your local hospital? Do you want to compare your hospital rating times and other details? Then this is the website for you. Patients can also see, on average, how many people are admitted to the hospital each year.

  • Qualys

6/17/11

I was reading through my Google feeds today and came across this interesting website. I have found a number of interesting tools, in particular Qualys SSL Labs. It gives a fantastic and detailed report about the SSL certificate. For example, I looked up the report for 'encrypted.google.com'. It gives an overall rating, the Cipher Strength, veiled from, veiled to and whether the certificate is from a trusted source.

  • My code stock

6/12/11

Developers often create codes, e.g. HTML, CSS snippets, etc. Developers will then often reuse these in their other projects. Do you want life a little easier when managing your codes? Well then - look no further! MyCodeStock stores them remotely for easy access.

  • Skype

6/11/11

Skype is a great instant messenger to keep in contact with friends. It has better video quality then other instant messengers, e.g. Yahoo and MSN. The problem with Skype however is that in recent times it keeps going down and can be down for up to hours.

  • Mardel Christian & Education

6/9/11

Great Christian store. Really good prices and are always shipped out. Totally safe.

  • Comodo

6/5/11

Have got to love comodo.com! I believe that this organisation has a successful future ahead of them. For personal users they have a number of free products ranging from Internet Security, Firewalls, backup managers and even an EasyVPN that secures your instant messaging. I also like to use 'SecureEmail' that they also provide free for non-commercial use. It will both encrypt and digitally sign all your emails. I recommend this site to all.

  • Wikipedia

6/5/11

Obviously Wikipedia.org is a safe and a enjoyable browsing experience. I find Wikipedia.org a great start when looking for information. However as some have mentioned, anyone can edit these pages. Thus it can be biased and not based entirely on the truth. Ask most universities and they will almost always tell you not to use Wikipedia.org as a source. But again, don't doubt the site. It is a great starting point during research.

  • Coolrunning

Safe website! Great community, very supportive and encouraging.
