Five of the seven orders I made from AliExpress never arrived, and one of the two that did arrive had to be refunded because it was the wrong item. The one fully successful order was fine.

I found their customer service agents generally friendly and helpful, but none of them were able to actually do anything. They also seem to have a pretty hazy idea of how to go about disputing orders and asking for replacements/refunds- full of suggestions that didn't work or advising me to click options that weren't there. There were no customer service agents available at all during most of January and February, due to a spring festival taking place in China.

The sellers are mostly selling unfinished/unpolished counterfeit goods and bargain-basement prices, and the ones that I dealt with told the most flagrant lies about how long I should expect to wait for delivery. One in particular told me my order was only a few days away from delivery, despite tracking information showing that it had never even arrived at the departing airport six weeks after I paid for it. This was for an item being shipped from China to Korea, as well, so it's not like it had to go across the world or anything.

I'm fairly certain I got all of my money back, as customer service does seem to take that seriously enough, but it takes almost a month for them to process refunds.

Don't bother trying to buy anything here.

I had a flight booked with Emirates that was due to fly over Tehran, which I tried to change after the Iranian government admitted to shooting down a civilian airliner.

Emirates refused to alter the booking without charges fees of ~$100 per ticket, plus the cost of the new tickets. They also refused to say whether or not they were re-routing flights away from Iranian airspace, citing security concerns, despite the fact that several major airlines made public announcements clarifying that their routes would avoid Iran.

The customer service agents I spoke to did not care at all about the risk to passengers and did everything they could to fob me off to other people, going so far as to give me phone numbers that didn't exist or numbers for the wrong department so that they wouldn't have to deal with me anymore.

Their 24/7 twitter support team also ignored every message I sent them, though to be fair they were also ignoring messages from several hundred other angry passengers at the time.

I will never try to book a flight with Emirates again. They showed that they don't care at all about safety and will try to make money off the back of tragedy by refusing to let people change or cancel flights without charging huge fees.

My order is, at the time of writing this, six days late. I paid ~$30 in combined shipping and import/customs fees (paid in advance to help speed up customs clearance), which is more than 1/3 of the total cost of my order.

Just getting in contact with customer service to try to deal with this has been a pain. The submission form on their website is broken, and I was automatically disconnected from their phone line four times when I tried to ring them.

They ignored the first four emails I sent to their customer service email address, over a period of about 36 hours. After I was finally able to get someone on the phone, the person I spoke to acknowledged that my order was late and that I was due a shipping refund. Shortly after that phone call I got a response to one of the emails I had sent, denying that the package was even late, let alone that I was promised a refund.

I've been talking to their customer service for the last two days and when they can be bothered to respond, they ignore most of what I say in the emails.

I don't care if these are the most incredible underwear I've ever bought at this point, because I won't be buying from these people again.
