First of all A Pea in a Pod is the SAME company as Motherhood Maternity, they carry overlapping product and A Pea in a Pod price is $15-$20 higher.
I happened to have bought the same pair of compression leggings from both company, Motherhood had it at $20 sth and A Pea in a pod at around $40 sth per pair.
They are exactly the same, only difference is color of packaging.
Since Motherhood Maternity's a little messed up on size chart, I don't mind paying more to get the right size. But the leggings from A Pea in a Pod have open stiches at the crunch area. I bought 2 pairs of them, both had the same issue. Meaning the batch might be all defective.
I'm size 00, usually wear XS or XXS, weight 113lbs at 28 weeks, measures 34-35 at hip size, and their legging's XS is measured 36-37 around hip so it's definitely not me breaking the product.
I have to contact customer services. They promised to issue a gift card to cover the defective merchandise, asked that I place another order, the difference and shipping paid to on the replacement order will be waived.
Sounds nice right?
In reality, they issued credit for only 1 pair of legging - I bought two. After communications, the other pair's refund credit goes to motherhood maternity... Hello?
Additional communications need to be made to combine them and point them to one website.
After making the replacement purchase, they have problem refund the difference too.
The agreement was to refund difference to original payment method, but their customer service refunded a random number- Yes, can't tell how it's calculated but surely LESS than the agreed mount, to gift credit, not original payment method.
Tons of emails with screenshots highlighting errors were sent to address the incorrect refund, but every customer care picking it up didn't bother to read the full detail, ignored the credit back request, and tried to get it over with by gift refund.
Had to make a call and request manager to get things straight
Will never buy from either website again
