  • Kmart

6/18/18

Kmart lured me in with their Shop Your Way points. Big mistake - what a HUGE waste of time dealing with this company. I've made 6 orders over the past 6 months & every single order was cancelled & I got the weirdest emails every time saying that I had cancelled the order?! Nope, I did no such thing. I emailed customer service & they said they couldn't help me & I had to call a phone #. At that point, I was over it, it's not worth the time & stress to deal with such a dysfunctional failing company. I haven't shopped at Kmart in many years due to negative issues back in the day when they had filed for bankruptcy. Now I'm reminded why I stopped.

Also even if your orders don't get randomly cancelled, the site is confusing to use. There's Kmart, Sears & individual sellers on their site (kinda like individual Amazon sellers?). To make it MORE confusing, you can only use the Shop Your Way points on certain items so it can be frustrating to find items you need/want to use points on. I just can't justify the headache of shopping at Kmart.com when Amazon & Target are so easy & stress free. Kmart needs to seriously get their act together. They lost this customer for good.

  • EliteDealClub

11/14/17

I've been a member of Elite Deal Club for several years & it used to be a legit site to receive Amazon promo codes to get discounted Amazon items.

Now it's absolutely a fraudulent site & a complete scam. If you look on their Facebook page there are hundreds & hundreds of complaints that go back several years. How this site is even still operating is beyond me.

Also there's zero customer service which people have complained about ad nauseam on their Facebook page, so that's another red flag this site is a fraudulent scam. Literally you'll never ever get a person to respond to any emails.

Now they ask for your credit card info & after a given amount of time, ban you for 'suspicious activity', having kept your credit card info. Please don't sign up for this site & please don't give them your credit card or any personal info. Even if you sign up & somehow are able to get some promo codes, give it enough time & eventually you'll get banned like tons of other people.

There are theories bouncing around their Facebook page that they're using credit card & personal info fraudulently and/or mining email addresses to sell them. They could also be using their system now just to get unsuspecting Amazon sellers to pay them for their 'service' (but never delivering on the service), and/or getting Amazon sellers better Amazon search standings & providing small Amazon sellers some amount of advertising because once EDC members get a code (if they get one, even if the code doesn't work) & click on the link to the Amazon item or search the item on Amazon, it bumps the sellers up the search list.

I never did anything 'suspicious' & I'm sure most members probably didn't either (which would be considered activities such as purchasing Amazon items with the promo codes at a discount & reselling on Amazon for more, having more than one account in order to get more than one code per user, etc. Honestly almost all the Amazon items, when the site did work, were cheap items & many were Chinese made junk. So I don't really know how people would even make that much money reselling, especially when you factor in shipping).

I personally used the site as intended, had my one account & bought all of the items for my own personal use/gifts.

My account was 'banned for suspicious activity' & if you read through their Facebook page, there are literally thousands of people saying the exact same thing happened to them. Obviously we all didn't commit suspicious activities so clearly the fault lies with their site.

Bottom line - please don't waste your time with this scam of a site & please don't give them your credit card info or any personal info.

I'm reporting them to BBB & Amazon & hope they get shut down asap so they can't prey upon anymore innocent people. There's many others who wrote BBB reviews & on their Facebook page saying they are going to report them too.

Stay far away from Elite Deal Club!

  • Smiley360

9/26/17

I've been a member of Smiley360 for a few years & it's been an absolute complete 100% waste of my time. I've only received a small sample of Nexium & Zzzquil in all those years.

If anyone is saying they're getting any actual full sized products that are from nice brands, I'd wager they have a blog or website and/or are posting all kinds of stuff on social media which is how they're getting the better full sized items.

I'm just a normal woman in my mid 30s who doesn't have a blog, website & spend all my time posting advertising on my social media. So I'm going to guess that's why I'm not getting approved for anything but a few pills.

The problem with this site is they expect us all to do a TON of work on the front end (answering surveys, questions, interacting on the site & with brands etc) without ANY guarantee of anything. Other sample review sites at least give you the samples to try & then you complete feedback, reviews etc once you've tried it.

I've exhaustingly answered all kinds of surveys & questions & participated the best I could in hopes I could increase my chances of getting better items (but I mean come on, we can't spend all our free time on these sites just giving free feedback & free advertising for brands & products without some guarantee we're going to get something for it!).

So my guess is at this point, they're basically just mining the majority of its users for free targeted marketing. The few users who actually get anything substantial are either investing a huge effort into participating in their site and/or have blogs/websites/social media.

At first I thought it'd be fun to try new things & provide feedback. But seeing how much effort I've wasted on this site with ZERO in return, this has just turned into a huge frustration. Save yourself & since I'm guessing your time is worth something & has some value, just buy the products you want & need & move on with your life :) Don't putz around this site in hopes you'll get a box of tampons or some item you probably didn't even need worth a few bucks.

Today I just did another survey for a chance to get a higher priced item (my final attempt!). It said if I got approved, I'd have to go to a mattress/pillow store (which takes a lot of time) & then I'd get a pillow worth approximately $90. Of course I didn't get approved. I've actually done a few of these types of surveys & obviously never get approved. So that's it - I'm officially done with this site.

Hope this helps you!

  • BLACK + DECKER

6/21/17

I registered for a $50 Black & Decker toaster oven & had the receipt & could absolutely prove when it was purchased. The toaster oven just stopped working after only 4 months so I took it into Target hoping they'd let me exchange it since it's defective.

Target told me since it's 4 months old I'd have to contact Black & Decker's warranty department. I contacted them & the customer service representative said they personally couldn't do anything but I'd have to talk to the supervisor. They gave me their direct phone # & extension. I'm not exaggerating, I left over 10 messages for this supervisor over several months with ZERO return calls. I've never heard back from this so called supervisor. What a horrible way to do business.

Now I have to contact regular customer service again & fight with them over this ridiculous situation.

So now, not only do I have a toaster oven that punked out after only 4 months, I now have to deal with Black & Decker's awful (actually, NON EXISTENT) customer service.

I will never ever buy another Black & Decker product again & I'd urge you to stay far away from this company.

  • Dollar General

5/15/17

This is my first & last order from Dollar General. I ordered lots of items & thought I was getting a great deal. I just received way smaller versions of the items than what is clearly written on my order.

It says clearly on my order the amounts & sizes of the items so no idea how they messed that up.

I emailed customer service twice & still no response to my emails. I finally called their customer service # & the representative was very nice. She did apologize & said they were out of stock of the items I had ordered, so she issued a refund.

I'd suggest if you ever have any issues or questions, definitely call rather than email.

Very disappointing though since I waited 10 days for shipping & had run out of these items so now I have to go out & buy them in a different store. I did get free shipping on my order so it's great they offer free shipping options. But know that it'll take up to 7 business days for shipping, which mine did.

Not happy that I spent so much time digging around on their site to find what I thought were way better deals, only to be incorrectly sent the small versions of the items, spent 3 days waiting for customer service to email me back which they never did & now having to go to the store to buy the items I had run out of since I need them today.

Definitely sticking with Target & Amazon. I've shopped with them for years & never had an issue with orders & shipping is fast & free.

I suppose just stick with shopping in actual Dollar General stores so you know what you're buying when you walk out of the store. If you do make an order online, be prepared to wait up to 10 days & hope you actually get what you ordered.

If I was rating actual Dollar General in store experiences I've had, I'd give them 4 stars.

  • Hollar

5/4/17

I found out about Hollar from a site that went on & on about how it's the way better version of the dollar store. They talked about how they have brand names like Aveeno, Neutrogena, Nivea, Dove, Pantene etc.

At first I was super pumped to go find myself some awesome deals. I already buy Aveeno so that was the first brand I checked out, then Neutrogena. No exaggeration - Aveeno Nourish & Shine shampoo & conditioner are $9 each, both the Ultra Calming & Positively Radiant wipes are $9.95, Neutrogena Moisture Shine Lip Soothers are $9 - that is twice as much as Target! Are they nuts?!

At Target those exact items are anywhere between $5-6.

I am shocked. I have zero idea how a company can be considered the better version of a dollar store but charge twice as much as Target/Walmart/Amazon.

I scanned through the rest of Aveeno, Neutrogena, Dove, Nivea & other well known brands. Plus I checked out all the brand name household items. There were only a few items that were just slightly less than buying at well known stores.

Lots of the brand name products are discontinued, packaging has been updated so Hollar is selling the old package & a few items are actually sold in other countries but not in the US.

I didn't see one item from well known brands that was a good deal. The brand name household items are a terrible deal.

I gave up on the brand name stuff & literally went through every single category combing through, trying to find items that would give reason to why Hollar is claiming it's like the dollar store but better.

I found a few decent deals on random items I didn't need & none of them were $1. Most of the items that seem to be the better deals were priced $2-5. They have items priced all the way to $10. The $1 items seemed mostly like poor quality junk, old/discontinued or just stuff you really don't need & you end up buying simply because it's $1. I did see some brand name hair ties for $1 & those are normally a few bucks so I'd buy those.

In regards to pricing, this company is more like Dollar General, Family Dollar or Big Lots. They seem to have a few items that you randomly come across that are priced below what you'd pay elsewhere.

Hollar needs more photos & the zoom in function. They also need better descriptions on the items.

I updated this review to say that their refund policy charges $4.95 per order, not per item. Hollar commented on my review because I mistakenly thought they charged $4.95 per item. Their policy says:
"If youre not 100% happy with our products, well gladly accept returns within 365 days from your order date. Please note that returns are subject to a restocking fee of $4.95." The wording isn't super clear, but now that I know it's only $4.95 per order that's definitely better.

Really hoping Hollar steps up their inventory & lowers their prices WAY down, if they want to live up to their 'better than the dolllar store' claims.

Overall - not impressed with Hollar - AT ALL.

Update on 11/14/2017: I finally made an order since they offer a discount on $10 orders & free shipping on your 1st order. Everything was broken due to the worst packaging ever! Items weren't wrapped with any individual bubble or protective wrap. They were literally just throw in the box beside each other with one very thin layer of small bubble wrap around all of the items. There wasn't even additional packing material in the box to prevent items from moving around. Everything was literally shattered into a zillion pieces.

My dog could have packed a box better!

And guess what? I contacted customer service (who was nice & helpful) with photos of the box. Everything was sold out (another negative with Hollar since for many items, once they're sold out, they're gone forever) so I reordered some similar options & since they knew the horrible packing issue, I asked them to please make sure this replacement order was packed properly (I shouldn't have to tell them that) & the 2nd replacement order was packed just as badly & everything was broken in that order too! Again I contacted customer service who again was very nice & made a 3rd order with unbreakables which arrived fine. But that's the 1st & last time I order anything breakable from Hollar. What a hassle!

Hi Hollie. We appreciate your feedback about the pricing of some of our products. It will surely be brought up to our merchandising team. Our restocking fee for returns is $4.95 per order and not per item.

  • JC Penney

5/3/17

I haven't shopped at JCPenney in years. I had a credit that I wanted to use & went way out of my way to go their store. I went in & found the item I wanted to spend the credit on. The said my card was too old to show the balance (even though it's just a plastic card & it was only a few years ago I got it). They said I had to call their customer service phone # myself & have them transfer the balance to a newer card. I very politely explained I drove really far to come to their store only with the purpose of using this credit. I told them I can't drive all the way back again. I asked them very nicely if they can please assist me in calling customer service while I'm in the store. They said I had to call myself. So I sat in the store & called the customer service line literally over 5 times with no answer from a human & for some reason, there was no option to speak to someone. I told them no one was answering the line so could they please assist me. They literally told me there was nothing they could do. Seriously?!? I literally begged them to do something because I wasn't leaving the store without using my credit up. I'm not kidding, they just continually told me they couldn't do anything! I said the phone # doesn't reach a human, it's just automated.
I received zero assistance from their employees. All they did was told me to call that number again & which #s to press to speak with a human. I called again following their directions & again, no human. When I went back again to the employees I explained the whole situation & they didn't do anything to help me except say to keep calling that's #. Oh my lord, are you kidding?! I finally said we can't sit in the store all day calling & if they're not going to help me, can they at least give me some kind of online coupon / discount / free shipping etc so once I get this all figured out I can order online because I can't drive back. They said they can't do that, I'll have to ask when I finally speak to someone on the phone.
Definitely offered me zero assistance, the customer service phone # doesn't really work. And when I got home I go on their website hoping I can start by emailing customer service so I don't have to keep dealing with their useless phone #. Wouldn't you know... JCPenney doesnt have a customer service email... of course they don't!
Thankfully they do have the live chat option (so odd they have live chat but no email address?). I live chatted with a representative & they were finally able to assist me. They told me my gift card had been deactivated (they shouldn't be deactivating gift cards!) & they would send me a new gift card in the mail with my balance on it. At least I finally got it worked out, but after a lot of headache & frustration.

JCPenney struggles because of these exact reasons! Why in the world would I want to shop here when I can go anywhere else & every other store on the planet lives in modern times with humans answering their phones & they have this new fangled thing called an email!
Jeez JCPenney... get it together. No wonder you're always on the brink of going out of business.

  • Pinecone Research

4/20/17

Several months back I spent about 45 minutes to an hour applying fo be a panel member. I answered all their questions honestly & was excited at the end that it said I was accepted as a panel member. I took screen shots with my phone of this confirmation so I'd have proof for later just in case, but didn't think I'd need it. The site I found out about Pine Cone Research said they'd send an email confirmation that I was accepted & then at some point after that I'd begin to get surveys.
This was literally 3 months ago & I have received zero communication from them. I've contacted them several times with no response. The other reviews say this is a good legit company but my experience is the complete opposite. So I'd warn you to not waste your time applying to be a possible member. There's no guarantee you'll get accepted anyway & when you actually do get 'accepted' like I did, you may never hear from them. This is a very poor way to do business & Pine Cone needs to either just deny people into their membership or actually contact the people who've given their time & been accepted into their program.

  • Walgreens

4/17/17

Updated 9/6/18:
Over the past year & a half I've made 3 ship to store orders & Walgreens has canceled every one. I didn't receive any emails with 2 of the orders so I had no idea they were canceled. When I emailed customer service they said it was because the items were out of stock. After 3 separate occurrences, I don't understand why Walgreens system isn't updated to show that the item is out of stock at that time? Or why doesn't Walgreens do like Amazon & even if it's currently out of stock, it can be noted as such but state if it will be back in stock soon & then send it once it's in stock? Walgreens offers some good deals & coupons etc so it's frustrating to get orders canceled & not get the deal.

Walgreens really needs to update their system because they've officially lost me as an online customer. I'll still occasionally shop in store but I'm not wasting my time making orders that will just get canceled with zero communication regarding why.

  • Old Navy

4/1/17

I've shopped at Old Navy since I was in high school, so 20+ years. I like their cheap prices & sales. Their quality definitely leaves a lot to be desired. But being I only buy with sales & discounts I don't expect the highest quality & I'm ok with that. I mainly just shop at Old Navy for basics anyway.

My main complaint is their sizing now. Over the years their sizes have absolutely become extreme vanity sizing & it makes shopping there a huge headache. My size hasn't changed in 20 years. I'm a medium top - period. Every single other store & brand, I'm a medium.

I made a huge order a few months back when they were running major sales & clearance. I was so excited to get all these clothes for such a great price. I tried everything on & totally shocked at how HUGE everything was!

All of the medium tops definitely fit at least like a large if not an extra large. I had to return everything & was super bummed because the sales & clearance items were all gone.

If you haven't tried on recent Old Navy clothing, I would recommend actually going into the store & trying on tops & bottoms in different styles to figure out what size you'd wear at Old Navy. If you have to order online, order different sizes & return the ones that don't fit.

  • Victoria's Secret

3/30/17

I've been a loyal VS customer forever even though they're stuff is overpriced. The Secret Rewards Card program was such a fun way to incentivize continuing to shop there. Since they cancelled the program in 2016, I'm bummed that we don't get that little extra. That program caused me to spend more of my money there (hence the point of the program!). They didn't lose me as a customer (as some people ranted online) but they definitely lost a lot of my money. I appreciate their big sales a few times a year & they're constant deals, so as long as they still offer those I'll still shop here when I can get a nice discount. But I just won't shop at VS as much.

I see they're now starting to offer free 'rewards cards' with certain purchases but so far it's been larger purchases like $35-40. Their old program used to offer Secret Rewards cards with just a $10 purchase & you could get 1 per day for the duration of the promo. I hope VS reinstates this program in the future because I really think they're losing a lot of business by canceling it.

Also another frustration is VS has stopped selling apparel for their basic VS line & swimsuits ugh :( That was what I bought there the most! Honestly I found their apparel super comfy & made me look good (especially their yoga pants) & couldn't find that level of comfort & fit from other brands, especially that was as cute of styles. Their swim suits were also super cute & they had fun unique styles I couldn't find elsewhere. So again, super bummed they stopped selling these things.

I checked they're site to see what they're selling now. It appears they're really expanding their VS sport line. Their PINK line still offers some apparel but it's clearly geared towards the young adult & college age girls. I'm only in my early 30s but I don't want to wear clothes with ginormous obnoxious PINK branding! Seriously almost everything in their PINK line has humongous PINK logos all over it. The PINK styles of
Apparel are cute but I don't want to be a roving advertisement for VS PINK. It'd be great if they could offer more apparel in their PINK line that doesn't have to their brand plastered all over it.

Overall, it would've been great if they could've kept VS apparel & swim & still offered more of their sport lines.

It actually makes me think they're having financial issues since they've made so many cuts. Either way, I really hope they don't make any more cutbacks for customers. Otherwise they'll definitely lose me for good.

  • Toluna

2/28/17

I signed up with this site several years ago when I read on a blog that it offered possible free test products. That was VERY misleading, but it's my fault for not investigating this site further - lesson learned. Do lots of due diligence before signing up for any of these types of sites, as many are huge time wasters & pay out beans for your time. Toluna is mainly a survey site but I had no interest in doing surveys. I thought it'd be fun to 'possibly' test free products. Every test product offering only provides anywhere from a few hundred to approx 500 products (except the last test product offering was 900+ which I'd never seen them offer that many prior). They seem to offer test products approx once a month or so. I understand that considering how many Toluna users there are, statistically there's a very low chance of actually getting chosen to test a product. I had no idea that Toluna has millions of users all over the world, so the chances of you getting picked to test one of just a few hundred products is basically zero. After applying to test products every single time they're offered for years & never getting chosen, I've finally given up. I guess I'm determined... or just really stubborn & kind of lame for continuing on for years ha. You'd think I'd give up long ago, considering these aren't expensive products, but I thought it'd just be fun if I did get chosen. Most test products are under $10 & many are probably worth about $5 (like eye pencils & lip balms). But I kept the hope up that eventually I'd get picked - nope! What a complete waste of time. Do not bother with this site for trying to get test products. After reading reviews of Toluna, it's mainly just a survey site & according to many users, even their surveys are not worth your time.
As a side note, their customer service is of no help at all. I contacted them because their site wouldn't allow me to update my address (in case I ever did get picked for a test product) & could they please update my address for me & try to fix their site's issue. I tried to update my address over 20 times over the past several months to no avail. Their reply was to submit my new address & click update - exactly what I had told them I'd already done over 20 times. I also asked them about their test products program & told them I've applied for years with no luck & is there anything I need to do to have a better chance of being picked (does doing surveys, having a blog etc increase chances?). They didn't respond to that question at all, so I have no idea how their test product program works.
Just stay away from Toluna. Toluna does nothing but suck your time & cause major frustration with zero to gain regarding test products.
I can't personally speak to their surveys, but if you read other reviews & google Toluna, most people say you get very little payout from doing long surveys, points expire, you have to do long screeners & then it'll say you don't qualify... doesn't sound like their surveys are worth doing. Also googling Toluna's test product program, almost everyone says they also have never received anything from this company after applying for a long time, some for many years (one person said they'd applied for test products for 7 years & never been chosen). What a waste of our time. Much better companies out there who actually reward their users regularly with test products/samples & provide decent pay out for surveys. Stay FAR away from this junk site!

  • PINCHme

2/23/17

I always appreciate freebies so I'm thankful for PinchMe & I don't mind using my time to fill out reasonable length questions/surveys, feedback etc for free samples. But the feedback for each small sample is time consuming. Before you decide to sign up, decide if you're willing to be at your computer or phone exactly at the time they release the samples (on a specific date at 12 noon EST) & are you willing to fill out lots of feedback questions plus a 50 word minimum review for each individual sample (& now they're incentivizing reviews on actual company sites where as before all feedback was done just on PinchMe's site... read more below).

Side note - just because you finish all of your feedback on time, does not mean you'll get any samples during the next sample offer. I always finish my feedback on time & over the past few months, I wasn't offered any samples in my account. So be aware that you can put in all the time answering feedback but that doesn't guarantee you'll get samples every time they're offered. There's been many months that I've only been offered 1 or 2 samples, whereas in the past I'd be offered 5-10+. This has been an ongoing theme & many are complaining about it so again, decide if you're willing to get zero or just 1-2 samples some months. Word is, as more people have joined they're giving people less samples. Kind of frustrating to long & good standing members.

Honestly, it's a lot of work for some very small samples. If I wasn't bored, I would never use PinchMe ha.

Also it takes a long time to receive boxes, so be prepared to patiently wait for them.

They've just recently made a positive change where they give you 30 days from when they ship the box to finish your feedback. FINALLY! Because for the past few years feedback was due way before I received the box so I couldn't complete it in time for the next box. Then because I couldn't finish my feedback, I wouldn't get the next sample offer. Finally PinchMe fixed that crummy system & is allowing enough time for honest feedback & being able to qualify for more samples. They never should have had that system in the 1st place. That just allowed for everyone to feel forced to leave fake feedback for samples they hadn't even received or you wouldn't get any more samples (there are tons of complaints about this online). It took them long enough to fix this issue, but at least they finally did it.

The only newest change I didn't like is this last time, they basically bribed us to write a review on Burt's Bees website. We had to go to Burt's Bees site, create a Burt's Bees account, write a review & that just felt like way too much effort for a small packet of protein powder. You didn't absolutely have to write the review but it said if you didn't you might not get future sample offers.

PinchMe should be careful with making its users feel obligated to write a review in order to get future samples. This is exactly why Amazon clamped down on their reviews back in October 2016 saying many were incentivized & customers were losing trust in reviews. PinchMe should allow users 100% choice either way to leave a review, saying it will be appreciated but not required & it in no way will affect future sampling offers, not making users now feel forced or they won't get more samples.

This isn't the most ethical way of getting reviews & some people may feel nudged to leave a more positive review even if that wasn't their 100% honest opinion.

Overall I don't mind leaving feedback for free samples because I really enjoy freebies, am grateful for them & I'm bored A LOT. So it's worth it for me. But PinchMe's feedback requirements take quite a bit of time just to get a few small samples. Plus the feedback questions are pretty basic & get boring fast so the process is tedious.

My suggestions for PinchMe would be to shorten the feedback questions and/or make them more interesting if possible & not require/incentivize any reviews, allowing them 100% as a choice.

Side note - if you do sign up for PinchMe, stay away from their possible product trial offers. They're a waste of time with no guarantee of getting any product. I answered a bunch of questions to apply for a product trial (knowing it was just a possibility, not a certainty so that was fine). My issue is, then I received an email at 9am saying I was approved for the product trial, so I was excited & immediately went to claim the product & get started in the trial. It took me to PinchMe's site where I didn't find it anywhere. I contacted PinchMe & they responded saying there's a limited number of products & if it wasn't in my account then they were gone. How about just approve people according to how many products you have & then 100% put it in our accounts?
Here's the email I received:

"You have been selected to participate in an exclusive trial of BAND-AID® BRAND SKIN-FLEX ADHESIVE BANDAGES!

Here's what you need to know:
1. Click the button below to claim your product now
2. When you receive your product, try it out!
3. We will be in touch in the next few weeks asking you to leave a review of the product."

The email they sent is super misleading because it makes no mention of you needing to hurry to claim it, there's limited product, it's on a first come first serve basis etc. It makes it seem like I was approved & it was in my account. Super lame on PInchMe's part. I DEFINITELY won't be wasting my time signing up for any more of their trials.

Overall, if you're willing to put in quite a bit of effort to get a few small samples, then it's ok. Otherwise, you probably will find more satisfaction picking up a new hobby or spending time with friends or family or just watching Netflix! Hope all this info helps you!

  • Groupon

10/22/16

I have purchased a few digital deals on Groupon with no issues like the $10 for $20 Starbucks & Target deals etc. Because those are just digital deals & once you get the deal you just apply it to your Starbucks or Target accounts, those kinds of deals have been great.

However, I just made my first actual purchase of an item when I saw that they offered it significantly lower than other sites. Even with the $3.99 shipping it was cheaper than Amazon where I have Prime free shipping. So if I had actually gotten the items in the deal, it would have been a good one. The deal I ordered was supposed to contain 2 items. I only received one of them. So it was missing half the order.

First of all, it took me forever to find their customer service email! I clicked on contact customer service on my actual order & sent an email that way only to get it bounced back as a fail. I found another email on their site & again, that email address came back as message failure. OMG. I finally googled their customer service email & found it that way & finally got a response. That's not ok. Groupon needs to have the correct emails & messaging systems in place. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to find their correct flippin email.

The response I finally got was that they can't send me the missing item in my order. Huh?! They can only do one of two things. They'll give me a credit for the missing item that was way lower than the missing item cost so now I have to fight with them over the amount of the credit should I choose that option. The 2nd option is return it for a full refund but they told me they don't even know if that's an option?!? I looked all through the fine print of my order & I can't find out if I can return it for a full refund or not! Good lord! So I sent an email asking for clarification of the return policies & if I were to choose the credit option, they need to give me more for it because they only offered me a few dollars for the credit of a $15 item. Ughhhh. No response & it's been 24 hrs since I sent it.

Also a huge deterrent is their shipping costs. When you're searching through items it doesn't state what the shipping costs are. You have to click on each individual item to find out. Most items are $3.99 shipping, some are $2.95, some shipping is more depending on the item & only occasionally do you find an item with free shipping.

This experience with buying my first (and ONLY) product on Groupon was NOT worth it. I'll definitely be sticking with Amazon & Target who have excellent policies & customer service, plus free shipping.

Just stick with their digital deals & stay away from buying any actual products from them.
