This is a review of only the referral program. Give $40, get $40 in the Washington DC area. It costs $49 for the cheapest package, which is 27 credits. So, if I refer someone, they pay $9 to get 27 credits. Alternatively, they can get either two weeks or one month (depending on promotion), which always gives 35 credits for free. This makes absolutely no sense! A new user could always get a better deal doing the free trial directly with Classpass! I feel ridiculous, and unethical, offering a friend my referral code knowing they're getting much less value this way. I have multiple people I've introducted Classpass too, without using my referral code and cheating them out of credits, and should be rewarded for bringing Classpass business! I've questioned chat representatives on the website several times and am told that a new user could get $40 off a larger plan. Who cares!? Everyone is going to do a free trial of some sort first before committing to a larger plan. Even if they wanted a big plan, who wouldn't want to get 35 credits for free initially? Terrible model and needs to be modified. I suggest that the referral program be changed to "Give 40 (credits), Get 40 (dollars)". This is a fair incentive for both parties to join or promote Classpass.
